Dont look now guys, but we are now #4 On the allocation order, and it may be to start paying attention given some circumstances overseas on some guys maybe coming home; namely the rangers situation. The names ahead of us are the revs, TFC, and chivAs. We could be in frame for a nice upgrade. If edu or Bocanegra are there it cOuld be worth a go. Thoughts?

Have Edu or Bocanegra expressed interest in coming to MLS? I haven't heard anything along those lines. Personally, I'd rather go after a young player than an experienced vet coming to play the sunset of his career.. That said, lots of options, but I don't see the FO going after a DP soon, certainly not this season and sitting at the top of the table.

I think that if Bocanegra falls to us we have to take him. He is clearly an upgrade over Jason, though Jason is not bad. A back line of Beta, Bernardez, Bocanegra, and Morrow would be hands down the best defense in MLS on paper. Bocanegra is still playing at an international level and probably will for a few more years. I don't see a guy like Boca destroying any sort of team chemistry that exists, so aside from having to cut someone there is not much downside.

Assuming Boca did in fact come back to MLS New England would lock him up no question. They could even DP him. I think Boca will still want to stay overseas though, hearing whispers of teams like Wolverhampton in for him which wouldnt be a bad gig. But we WANT these USMNT prospects coming home, the more the merrier for us. Would be just karma after sitting top of the pile all season two years ago with no one coming home.

If we just got rid of Moreno then not only is that a lot of cap space but also an int'l slot... so maybe we are clearing cap for another int'l player and not a returning USNAT player.

Luis Robles hits the list tomorrow too. I think the Revs take him because theyve been waiting for Reis's successor for awhile now. So we move a little higher.......we could be at the 3 spot tomorrow..... with only TFC and Chivas USA ahead of us.

why do i got the bad feeling we are gonna miss out again.....

yup, surprised the hell out of me. I guess the revs are confident with Shuttlesworth as their future. yeah its lookin like not much is gonna happen for us as far as allocation goes. so close but yet so far......it not as bad as last one though, where i think people didnt come back cuz they knew theyd be selected by us....(EJ.....Adu.....Demerit.....etc)

well Marcus Hahnemann is coming back today......TFC is up to bat right now. I imagine theyll take him then get a few players from Seattle in return or something like that.

Feeling lucky DaMarcus Beasley? :D How about Brad Friedel possibly being on the outs at Tottenham?

meh.......looks like we are just gonna miss out on the grand slam :p. oh well
