Speaking of which: ASSE has the best defense in
L1, so far this season, as they've only allowed 1 goal
in 7 games. Which incidently equals a record:
it's only been done 3 times before since L1's creation
    (1933)

Also noted in this article, it hasn't meant that these
teams went on to win the championship either...but
    still impressive.

My 2 cents. ASSE not a bad team they are certainly better than the likes of Ajaccio, Nice, Metz, Sochaux, Strasbourg, Nantes, Le Mans, Nancy, Troyes but they are a small step behind the top 8 teams i think. I'm not sure if they are better than Auxerre.

Well, it's not the end of the world...

Just has some were claiming we were challengers to the title after the weekend, this defeat doesn't mean we'll be relegated.

Les Verts are better than Ajaccio, Nice, Metz (you gotta to be kidding on this one), Sochaux, Strasbourg, Le Mans, Nancy, Troyes, Nantes, Auxerre at a minimum.

We'll challenge for a UEFA spot come the end of the season and, dare I say, might even be ahead of your beloved Rennes.

Looking at the current forces, I think the end of the season will look like this:

    1st: Lyon or PSG
    2d: the other one

    3rd-7th:
Either Lens, Monaco, Rennes, Marseille or Les Verts

    8-13th:
A mix between Bordeaux (hot start, but will stall), Auxerre, Lille (CL will take its toll), Nantes, Toulouse & Nice

    Not relegated, but close:
    Le Mans
    Ajaccio
    Sochaux
    Nancy

    Relegated:
    Strasbourg
    Metz
    Troyes

I think it was a case of Les Verts being hyped about playing PSG and thinking that Nancy would be a cake-walk after steam-rolling past us...

    How wrong they were...

Bordeaux will not stall. That team has talent.

Yes, but then the new coach magic will soon slowly go away.

Seriously though, if you think that would be a good idea, and I do, then start the thread. It takes some work if you want it to be decent, but Lens are clearly a big enough club to generate activity.....
