Per Ives: TV network beIN SPORT has made a major investment to lock up rights to USMNT road World Cup qualifiers for rest of 2012 AND 2013. Impressive Thought this deserved it's own thread. WTF?
As long as Bein Sports make a major investment to appear on everybody's cable and or satellite provider, then great as it's better than PPV. If not, terrible.
I have directv, caught a glimpse this weekend of La Liga. You hear Hudson and Schoen and think you are at GOL TV but then you notice the production value--so much better. They seem to be sparing no expense ( well maybe except for the low salary newbies hired to do the peripheral work). But I am delighted and hope they can get on regular cable soon and not just satelliite. Having Phil and Ray broadcast a USA game of importance will be enlightening to say the least to those not familiar with their work. Love him or hate him, Ray is not boring. I think they are the best possible pair to call games for the casual fan.
Per Goff: At the moment, the channel is available only on DirecTV and DISH Network. However, the outlet is aggressively pursuing cable carriers. Whether it succeeds in time for the Sept. 7 match is unclear. The outlet has urged fans to contact cable systems through this link.

In addition, it has rights to South American World Cup qualifiers and the 2015 Copa America."
I've sent my e-mail to Verizon FIOS. Now I'll have to wait & see. I'm not going to hold my breath, although some wish that I would.
Well, I know a few pleasantries in Arabic. Soooooo (phonetically, kind of) ..... Shook- rahn (2nd syllable rhyming with the word "flan").
Well, I must say. 1) La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, and Championship + 2) South American WCQ and Copa America + 3) USMNT away qualifiers and CONCACAF WCQ save Mexico. Reminds me of FSC early days with Football Brasilero, Argentina, Bundesliga, Eredivisie, and Serie A. Those were the days.
