If LeToux gets some good minutes next season, he could have 50 goals and 50 assists with the Union. That would be quite an accomplishment.

    Milestones on the horizon...

Games Played: BC ties Sheanon for 2nd at 141 with two appearances this season and becomes the second with 150 if he gets to eleven.

Minutes Played: SLT ties Sheanon for first at 12,261 with 30 minutes played this season. Gaddis is 382 minutes from becoming the fourth to play 10k. Edu is 231 minutes from 5k. Fabinho is 278 minutes from 5k. Nogueira is 509 minutes from 5k. Whomever makes it first will be eleventh to do so in club history.

Goals: SLT is two short of 50. Sapong is one short of 10 and ties Mwanga for fourth at 12 with three goals this season (and what the heck, ties Casey for third at 21 with twelve goals this season).

Assists: SLT is five short of 50. Fabinho is three short of 10 and would be tied for fourth with Roger Torres if he made it. Currently tied at eighth with Casey and Moreno. (As always, I use MLS' site for my assist stats, which includes secondary assists to create some degree of confusion)

Shutouts: Blake ties Sylvestre for third at 5 with three shutouts this season and Mondragon for second at 7 with five shutouts this season.

Pretty sad start to the season for my spreadsheet. Absolutely nothing of interest came out of this game other than the obvious 1st Union appearances for several names.

Hopefully there will be more to update as this season goes on.

A couple things coming out of this game (other than another big 3 points!)

    1) Brian Carroll moves into sole possession of #2 on the All-Time Appearances list, with his 142nd appearance in a Union Kit.

    2) Brian Caroll moves into a tie for #2 on the All-Time Games Started list, with his 136th start in a Union Kit.

    3) Fabinho moves into a tie for #8 on the All-Time Assist list, with his 7th Union assist.

    4) CJ Sapong moves into a tie for #10 on the All-Time Shots on Goal list, with 23 shots on goal for the Union.

    5) CJ Sapong moves into a tie for #4 on the All-Time Game Winning Goals list, with his 3rd GWG for the Union.

    Other items of note:

Andre Blake moved his career save percentage back over 80% (.803) as he recorded his 3rd regular season clean sheet (4th on the all-time list).

Sebastien LeToux picked up his 49th goal in a Union uniform (55th goal in his career). Of course, we also have to report the "bad," as well. LeToux missed his first PK in a regular season game, ending his streak of netting 13 straight PK's.

I'm sure no one expected much from last weekend's loss in Chicago. A few things of minor note:

    1) Brian Carroll's 137th regular season start for the Union moved him into sole possession of #2 on the all-time games started list. (LeToux falls to #3).

    2) Brian Carroll now has 75 shots attempted, which puts him into a tie for 9th on the all-time shots attempted list. (Unfortunately for Brian, only 16 of those have been on frame o_O )

    3) C.J. Sapong now has 25 shots on goal, which moves him into #10 on the all-time SOG list.

    4) Andre Blake has now started 11 regular season matches for the Union. This is the same number of starts that Local Johnny has. After 11 starts, here is how they match up:

    Andre Blake11119901563500.7943
    John McCarthy11119901841230.5612

So, that's about it. Let's hope tonight's game gives us a bit more to add.

this table is ridiculous and a real testament to Blake's quality... 63 shots to 41 and 3 less goals, that's jaw dropping.... how did McCarthy get so much more protection??? Blake gets absolutely shelled every game.

Easily the highest shots faced per 90 in our history at 5.7 shots/90'.

Mondragon is #2 at 4.6 shots/90'. Oddly enough Mondragon also has the 2nd highest SV% in club history behind Blake.

Seems the guys who faced less shots often let more get by them!

A big 2-1 win allows for some movement on the charts.

    1) Brian Carroll's 138th Union start moves him into a tie for #1 (with Sheanon Williams) on the All-Time Games Started list. (Sebastian LeToux is right behind them at 137).

    2) C.J. Sapong's 12th Union goal moves him into a tie for #4 on the All-Time Union Goals list. (tied with Danny Mwanga).

    3) C.J. Sapong's 27th Shot on Goal moves him into sole possession of 9th on the All-Time SOG list. (moves Sheanon Williams into 10th).

    4) Tranquillo Barnetta's 2nd Game Winning Goal moves him into a tie for 9th on the All-Time GWG list. (tied with Fred, Mwanga, and Vincent Nogueira).

Since we all love charts, and Blake has now started the same number of matches as Sylvestre, here's another chart. Blake needs to start 11 more games to meet his next milestone of matching Seitz for starts in net (#3 on the GK list).

A loss, but a couple things of note:

    1) Congrats to Seba who netted his 50th goal in a Union uniform. He is 38 goals clear of any ACTIVE Union players (CJ Sapong) at the top of the all-time Goals list. His 50 goals come at a conversion rate of 16% of his SOG.

    2) LeToux also put himself back at the top of the Games Started list, tying Williams & Carroll with 138 starts in Union blue & gold.

    3) A final note on LeToux. This past game represented his 160th regular season appearance for the Union.

Sapong moved in sole possession of fourth on the all time goal scoring list with his 13th, moving out of a tie with Danny Mwanga. Casey is third at 21.

Besides his 350th MLS game milestone, BC also passed Sheannon Williams and is now second in minutes for the Union. Seems like there's a chance he'll at least temporarily pass SLT for first if SLT is headed back to the bench, BC has 298 minutes to make up.

Next Blake shut out ties him with Sylvestre for third at 5.

In addition to the notes that Maxx put up:

    1) Vincent Nogueira moves into a tie for 6th with 86 shots attempted, on the all-time Union shots list.

    2) Chris Pontius joined the 5-man logjam in a tie for 9th place on the all-time Game Winning Goal list, with his 2nd GWG.

    3) Not only did Williams fall to 3rd as BC7 passed him on the minutes played list, he also fell into 3rd on the Games Started list, as BC7 and Seba both have 139 now.

Small notes from the loss to San Jose on Saturday.

    1) Sebastian LeToux took sole possession of #1 on the All-Time Games Started list, with his 140th start in Union Blue & Gold! (BC7 had to sit this one out, as he falls to 2nd with 139).

    2) Vincent Nogueira's 87th attempted shot moved him into sole possession of #6 on the All-Time shots attempted list. (He is now 27 behind #5 Danny Cruz).

    3) C.J. Sapong's 29th Shot on Goal moved him into a tie for the #8 spot on the All-Time shots on goal list. He is tied with Cristian Maidana. (CJ is 3 shots behind #7 Andrew Wenger).

FUN FACT: Out of the currently "active" roster of players who have made 20+ appearances, Fabinho has the worst Shots on Goal percentage. Fabinho has unleashed 32 shots, with only 4 getting on frame (12.5%). Shockingly, 2 of those 4 on net found their way in!

In all fairness to Fabinho, there are only about 10 guys who are "active" and have 20+ Union regular season appearances.

News and notes from the 2-2 draw with LAG.

    1) Keegan Rosenberry gets his 1st Career MLS goal! A well earned one, too.

    2) Fabinho's 60th start for the Union moves him into a tie for 10th on the All-Time Games Started list. (tied with Danny Cruz, 5 behind Danny Califf).

    3) Vincent Nogueira's 8th regular season goal moves him into sole possession of #6 on the All-Time Union Goals list, leaving 5 others behind tied at 7. (He is 4 goals away from tying Danny Mwanga at 5th)

3 Draws in a row? Not much to say on this one.

    1) C.J. Sapong's 31 SOG moves him into sole possession of 8th place on the All-Time SOG list. He is now 2 clear of #9 Cristian Maidana, and just 1 behind #7 Andrew Wenger.

    2) Andrew Blake has been having to face, on average, 5.11 shots/game. Faryd Mondragon faced the 2nd most in Union history, and he was facing 4.57. Pretty crazy when you think about how differently this season starts if Blake wasn't standing on his head every match.

Forgot to do some updates from the latest flurry of matches.

    1) Chris Pontius & Fabian Herbers both recorded their 1st Assists with the Union over the last few matches.
    2) Ken Tribett netted his first Goal for the Union, as well.
    3) Brian Carroll made his 150th Appearance in a Union uniform. He is only the 2nd player to reach that many games for the boys in blue (LeToux 167 appearances). The next closest, active, player is Ray Gaddis who has appeared 116 times.
    4) Fabinho made his 62nd start for the Union. Good enough to move into sole possession of #10 on the all-time Starts list. Danny "Wrecking Ball" Cruz falls off the top 10 list to make room for Fabs.
    5) Brian Carroll's 77th Shot attempted moves him into sole possession of 9th on the all-time Shots list.
    6) CJ Spaong's 75th Shot attempted moves him into a tie for 10th on the all-time Shots list (tied with Cristian Maidana & Sheanon Williams)
    7) Sapong also recorded his 33rd Shot on Goal to move him into 7th on the all-time SOG list. Andrew Wenger drops to 8th.

The Union keep on rolling and the guys who have helped make that change are starting to move onto these lists.

    1) Fabian Herbers bags his 1st goal in a Union uniform, as well as his 1st GWG. He joins 17 other Union players (past and present) who have at least 1 GWG in a regular season game.
    2) Ilsinho joins the first timers list, as he gets his 1st official Assist for the U.
    3) Matt Jones makes his Union debut. There have been 11 GK who have started a regular season match for the Union, and Jones is only the 4th to win in their first match. Mondgragon, McCarthy, and M'Bolhi are the others. Unfortunately, Jones' paltry .400 SV % goes down as the 4th worst debut % for a Union GK.
    4) Fabinho made his 70th appearance in a Union match. This moves him into a tie for 10th on the all-time list. He is tied with Danny Cruz & Conor Casey.
    5) CJ Sapong's 76th attempted shot moves him into sole possession of 10th place on the all-time shots list. Cristian Maidana and Sheanon Williams disappear from the top 10.
    6) Vincent Nogeuira's 26th shot on goal moves him into a tie for 10th on the all-time SOG list. He is tied with Sheanon Williams.

Friday Fun Fact - As odd as it may seem to all of us, Antonie Hoppenot can use the line, "I'm tied for 7th on the All-Time Philadelphia Union goal scoring list," to try and pick up a lady.
