I wish we could make this a sticky.... we could really use a yanks abroad goal clip thread. Kudos for the Wegerle clip.. I would love to see some more classic yanks abroad clips:

Harkes, Ramos, Wynalda, Lalas, Stewart etc... I know Cobi also got a couple for Coventry too.

iirc, that goal was in season 90/91. By the time he decided to throw his lot in with the US, he was past his peak and had started suffering a number of injuries that really hindered him.

Nice find on the Dombrowski goal (any relation to Jimbrowski?). They were really packing 'em in for that one. I don't know whether to give him full credit for that one because it does look like it deflected in off a defender. Then again maybe he planned it that way. But you'd have to call that.

I acknowlege I may have terrible taste when it comes to Queen songs. I'd have preferred another:

We almost need to start a separate thread for YA goals that sounded great, but unfortunately were never caught (or saved) on video :)

    - Joe Enochs' 30 yard screamer vs. Bayern Munich
    - Claudio has a long-range free kick goal vs. Bayern too
    - JMM had a very nice finish from the corner of box during his first season at Everton (I forget against whom)
    - McBride (on loan at Everton) scoring on Keller
    - Benny Olson had a nice goal for Nottingham Forest, I believe

    etc, etc.

I remember seeing a 40y kick from him at some point. It might be the same goal.

It's important to know that there are no terrible Queen songs. Some could MAYBE be called average, but even that is debatable.

Unfortunately there are no videos of my favorite Jacob Thomas goals (well, he didn't score that many to really have a list of favorites, but still) I could find on youtube, otherwise I would contribute here :D.

Earnie Stewart had some beauties at NAC Breda. At least 2 in the top ten on their site. They used to be online. Maybe still are, but I can't find them with a quick search.

    I'm uploading a few goals.

I have Friedel's goal, another Mathis at Hannover, Stewart at NAC...let me look around my hard drive.

Nope... you're being fooled by the angle of the replay.

By the way, I never knew that playing the audio backwards was all it took to translate it into Norwegian!

Man--the Mathis goal v. Hertha keeps getting rejected for "copyright violations".

Right, the "flop" that knocked him out of the match with a knee injury
Your post was almost as pathetic as your "song".

I see this is your first day on BS. Either improve your posting or please make it your last.

Edit: After looking at all 5 of your posts, I see that you're sole reason for being here is to pub your "music". It's people like you who are bringing down the quality of this forum. Here, have some (neg) rep. [fun fact, you are the second person I've neg repped.]

    Great job!

Seriously though, we have to close the contest now and award it to Big Brad.

The guy scored off a live play, camped in the box, on a quick reaction play...ball hit hard at his left foot. (his OFF foot!)

There are few goalies in the world who would have scored in that moment, and a microscopic few that have ever done that (as nice as the upper triangle screamers are....its been done many times before).

Brad's was truly unique, and for that reason- I basically have to close the thread now and award a winner. :)

Sorry, you are still wrong. You need to follow the ball when it leaves it foot, and look at the angle when it strikes the guy who ducks. Its definitely a deflection.

Tighe is a decent player, but he's not Robert Carlos. Even Roberto Carlos probably would not be able to bend like that.
