    Here we open the 2nd Round of the Tournament.

    [IMG]
    This is the fixture:

    GROUP A

    @tLB Odiseo vs. @thebigman
    @poetgooner vs. @Diez
    @msioux75 vs. @JJMM1

    GROUP B

    @heroearaucano vs. @Tom Stevens
    @OT_CAPITANO vs. @Perú FC
    @PDG1978 vs. @La-Máquina

    Steps to follow:

    * First, all visitors must ban an opposing player (that player won't be able to participate).
    (@thebigman, @Diez, @JJMM1, @Tom Stevens, @Perú FC, @La-Máquina)
    The maximum period for banning will be 24 hours from this publication.

    * Second, all locals also must ban an opposing player.
    (@tLB Odiseo, @poetgooner, @msioux75, @heroearaucano, @OT_CAPITANO, @PDG1978)
    The maximum period for banning will be 24 hours from the opposite ban.

    * Third, after both bans are done, all visitors must publish in this thread their lineups and may add tactical indications about their ideas for the proposal.
    The maximum period to submit your lineups will be 48 hours after having established all the bans (of all matches).

    * Fourth, all locals must publish their lineups and may add their own tactical indications.
    The maximum period to submit your lineups will be 36 hours after the visitor's publication.

    * Fifth, in the next 24 hours any of the participants may add new indications, tactical clarifications, player analysis, etc. The thread will be open to everyone's opinion in any match.

    * Sixth, I will announce the opening of votes. These should be sent to me via PM. I'll send mine to my rival in this round, so you can confirm it in the vote count (I'll try to do it before everyone to avoid suspicion).

    Please, proceed all to ban...

    @PDG1978 - you will be without Luís Figo for our game. The Portuguese winger is currently under quarantine, down to his last roll of toilet paper.

    I've asked Andriy Shevchenko to go round and leave him some anti viral drugs and freshly squeezed fruit juices in his porch, and deliver his Grandma's shopping.

    (On a serious note, best of luck to everyone and their families, against this virus).

    Over to you then mate, I guess, to pick a team without Shevchenko, and then I'll pick mine without Figo!

    Starting XI vs PDG1978:

    [IMG]

    Style
    High possession, fluid and expressive beautiful football. South American skill and flair, united with European steel and efficiency.

    Player Roles
    VAN DER SAR, Edwin (GK - Sweeper-keeper)
    GERETS, Éric (RB - complete fullback)
    , STAM, Jaap (CB - complete centreback), NESTA, Alessandro (CB - complete centreback), ROBERTO CARLOS (LB - attacking fullback)
    REDONDO, Fernando (DM - deep lying playmaker)
    , KEANE, Roy (CM - box-to-box), ZICO (AM - attacking midfielder)
    GARRINCHA (RW - wingforward)
    , MESSI, Lionel (FW - false nine), RONALDINHO (LW - playmaking inverted winger)

    Captain
    Roy KEANE
    Freekicks
    ZICO, Lionel MESSI, RONALDINHO
    Penalties
    RONALDINHO
    Corners
    RONALDINHO, Lionel MESSI, ROBERTO CARLOS

    Brief Tactics
    - Encourage attacks down the flanks (overwhelm opponent's fullbacks with my wing combinations (Garrincha-Gerets and Ronaldinho-Roberto Carlos).
    - Messi to pull out his marker out of the defensive line to create pockets of space for Zico, who is just as deadly in the box as he is in midfield. Moreover, whenever Messi/Zico/Garrincha/Ronaldinho are doubled-teamed this will create space for one another.
    - Lack of natural width/outside attacking presence from opponent does not alter our narrow compact shape when not in possession, helping us to negate our opponent's central-focused offense.
    -Nesta-Stam-Redondo-Keane to form a defensive 'Magic Square' to disrupt, break down and deny space for our opponent's central playmakers/forward, while being the creative platform from deep to initiate attacks.

    Maybe I should just ask for clarification from @La-Máquina and (for all of us) from @Perú FC

    Is La-Maquina intending to post some tactics before I make my own submission of my line-up, or is he now waiting for me to submit it?

    And is it intended to be an option to not submit any tactics at first, and then to submit full tactics in the fifth stage? Or should the away team have to disclose their general tactics in the third stage, or they aren't able to describe a tactical approach at all?

    In the first round of games I think all the away teams submitted full tactics first, but I thought I'd just check this while the deadline is ticking down (or maybe it isn't) for me to make a post!

    I just wasn't sure whether La-Maquina you are playing your cards close to your chest lol, or just making your post in two phases (in effect announcing the line-up ahead of the tactics like I did in the first round in a different way).

    Thanks!

    What visitors must comply with is to submit their tactical drawing first.

    Indeed, they can reserve to submit further tactical explanations until the local publishes his lineup to be able to make indications on the rival approach (basically in the fifth period of 24 hours). In the same way, the local can publish only his lineup, wait for the visitor to make some tactical explanation and then do it the same.

    That, of course, only if you feel the need for further clarification. For example, according to the lineup presented by La-Máquina, the brief description of his style, the player roles and assignaments, I think he needs no more to present (but he can).

    The period in which you could ban a player from your rival ended yesterday.

    It is not possible for you to ban him any player (unless he himself allows it).

    My team:

    [IMG]

    Some indications:

    - 2 stoppers (Ruggeri and Briegel) of great strength and great physical conditions to go over the extremes.

    - 2 defensive means (Edwards and Rijkaard) that can go back to make a line of 4 defenses, when the wings are projected both in attack.

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    - I have 2 wingers with great offensive capabilities (Mihajlovic and Janes), both with an enormous technique for long-range finishing.

    0:25

    - Janes was also characterized by the great precision of his shot.

    - But they will not always both attack, normally they will take turns to project themselves, after all they will always be well accompanied with Zidane, Baggio and Eusébio.

    [IMG]

    [IMG]

    - On offense, Eusébio at the top between the 2 defenders and Baggio furthest behind moving freely throughout the line of defense and defensive means.

    [IMG]

    - And a firepower in free throws, with Mihajlovic, Baggio, Zidane, Passarella and Eusébio.

    ;)

    Ok ... I accept the ban on Marco van Basten ... but please follow the rules and respect the times. You have to post your lineup first.
