Holy f'ing cow! Will they be coached by Wenger? ;)

If not "Arsenal current, former & friends" they should call it Red Bulls v Cosmos [dodging that thing being thrown at me!].

That's what I've been told by the people organizing this (no confirmation from RBNY, though).

Are you all insane? You are complaining about having that group of player play in our stadium against our team?

Look, it's a charity event, so of course they have to win. But, for those still too dense to figure this one out:

The real result of the Barca game was a three game winning streak and going unbeaten in August. Playing against better players makes you better.

F*ck the pride, I'm loving this game already. The biggest question I have is:

Do we get tickets to this with our season tix? If not, do we at least get a pre-sale window?

Enquiring minds want to know. Time to email my ticket rep.

Unfortunately, the managers in England have caught on that sitting a few rows back from the pitch is the best overall vantage point of the match. Now I have to share my space with the likes of the Special One, the Professor, and the newly nicknamed Spanish Whine(r).

When are pre-sale tickets for this event available to the public? I signed up for the pre-order but haven't received any notification.

A ticket rep told me a couple weeks ago that it looks like RBNY will handle ticketing but that specifics have yet to be determined and that an "official" announcement would come mid-to-late March.

I asked my ticket rep about this when the new schedule was announced and received an email that said that RBNY has no knowledge of this and aren't even in talks with anyone regarding this and to be wary of any solicitations involving RBNY. That said, I still put my name on the list for tickets on the charity site.

Again, I spoke with an "Account Exec" the first week of February and RBNY had a meeting about this the day before. Details were still to be worked out but it was my understanding that this will be included in the season ticket plan and that RBNY will handle the ticketing. How much, etc., still tbd, ergo no official announcement yet.

    He just emailed me saying:

"Main reason for the email is I just found out we will not be involved with
the All Stars for Hope like we originally had hoped for. So unfortunately
I will not be able to help out with tickets. Not sure what is going to
    happen with this game."

Perhaps the rumours of an Arsenal-Barca charity friendly in Strasbourg that week are true?

    A follow-up saying this:

"What I was told was that we were not handling the ticketing and RBNY will
not be playing. Wish I had more details on it, but this is all I know."

Sorry eightyhoursaway, the latest (as of yesterday) is that RBNY will not be playing. Not even sure if the match will happen.

ok ladies and gents here is the latest I just emailed Michael Wiesenfeld, co-producer for AllStars For Hope:

"The All Stars For Hope team has been finalized a while ago.
After several weeks of negotiations, we have decided not to play this game against the NYRB. We will be announcing within the next 7-10 days a prestigious South American opponents- one of the best South American Team at the moment.
That being said, we should be ready to start selling tickets by the end of March or before."

    Hmmm yay or nay????
