After reading the press release for the commissioner's picks, I think I read that Hans Backe is selecting the rest of the team?

    Really?

After the fan votes and commissioner's picks, why not let the players pick out the rest of the team? Or at least all the league's coaches? Of course there would be a rule that you can't pick guys on your own team.

    Am I missing something?

    No thoughts?

I'm sure somebody thinks having the players select the team instead of one guy would be better.

Who cares. The AS game is a meaningless friendly. Honestly, I would prefer none of the players from my team go so they can take advantage of the rest time.

I'm sure the players who get bonuses for making the All-Star team care.

    Fans voted for 11 players.
Fans via texting voted for 1 additional player (Matt Besler).
Hans Backe selects the remaining game-day roster of 22 players.
Players vote for 6 inactive All-star players (named an all-star and receive the bonus but do not play in the game).

That has to be the worst All Star roster we've ever had

I think the coach has to have a significant say on the player personnel if he is going to do well in managing the team/game.

How much? Is it enough amount to care?
