I assume Jones was not named because she would be occupied with Frankfurt as well, but chances are she'd have gotten screwed anyway.

Mullinix - Screwed, Screwed, Screwed yet again... Scurry gets another benefit of being a founding player.

Glad to see Carrie Moore get some recognition. Can't argue with Fettig. Even though I hate them, can't really argue with Hooper and Bivens. But, gee, big surprise , Mac is not only named, but is somehow starting despite scoring a whopping 5 goals in 17 matches - with NONE of them coming against playoff teams and 3 coming against New York. League loses more and more credibility every day...

As for the North, don't think Sobrero did anything to deserve the nod, rest of the picks look OK to me.

Mac is a replacement at least but yeah...not quite cricket, then again for an M/F who else would you pick on the south roster, Parlow? Most forwards already are selected who were worthy, fleeting only played the end of the season, cant really see anyone else...but i know your gonna yell out a name ;)

No siri yeah that was garbage, scurry didnt disirve it they even had to put wilson on the ballot.

however not as bad as PUTTING SUCKSKIA ON THE BALLOT!!! now that was disgraceful.

Anyone mention that 2 all stars were CUT at some point in their WUSA carrers. Fettig and Moore

Even though fettig's waiver was horsepoop and basically distroyed the power.

How is it that Birgit can play for her old team? I thought that contracts had to be exclusive...

Steffi Jones is on loan to her German club right now from the Freedom and I think that is the way it works for Prinz as well but I am not positive.

I would have picked Fotop over Hooper.

As for Webber, how many keepers WEREN'T on the ballot? Not many, as I recall.

    It's the Portland Thing, DCU...

Sobrero and Hucles both. Why not pick Janss? And since I'm a homer, ditto Mitts? It turned out good for us:

Charge: 6 players (starters and reserve)
    'Rays: 5
    Breakers, Courage, Beat, Freedom: 4
    Spirit: 3
    Power: Millie

And even though there's not a scintilla of doubt who I'd leave home to watch the Gold Cup on TV if it came down to Moore and Mulllinix, Siri got jobbed - we wanted one last crack at her :D

    All-Star Coach Gabarra

Lost in the other discussion has been a footnote in the WUSA article that Gabarra will be the South assistant coach, replacing Tom Stone. No reason given.

    Re: All-Star Coach Gabarra

Since we finished ahead of Atlanta, why wasn't Gabarra the assistant to begin with?

I see Janss as a TV-H type of player. You take Hucles to do the dirty work at midfield while TV-H gets to do her celebration flips. You don't take two of TV-H and expect the ball to materialize miraculously on their head or at their feet.
amen. I suspect that Cap'n Kirk got sucked into the Founding Player conspiracy. ;)

Congratulations to Maren Meinert and Erica Iverson. Since Iverson is a UMass grad, four of the final five selections for el Norte have connections to Massachusetts soccer. :)
