Ah. These are players worth noting, but do keep in mind that they are quite young -- young enough to be eligible for the 2015 U-20 WC.

They are both 1995s. There are also a few other 1995s kicking around in Germany, but unlike Canouse I don't believe they've reached the U-17 level yet for their clubs.

It should be mentioned that Fagundez doesn't even have a green card. That's not a big a deal for a kid his age as it would be for an adult because I believe he'd have a quick and easy path to citizenship if his parents are close and become citizens while Diego is still a minor.

Fagundez has spent time with the US U-15s and even participated as a guest in a U-17 camp, so one would hope that the USSF is on top of the situation.

Ike Opara scored a gamewinning header in the last minute of extra time for San Jose against Portland in the US Open Cup, 1-0.

Ellis McLoughlin was also on the field at the end. With such a long last name on his back, it really highlights his lack of shoulders.

Adrian Ruelas finished the Clausura season with 10 goals in 13 games for Santos U-20.

Did anyone else watch DC vs Seattle? This was the first time I've watched Ethan White play, and I thought he was fairly solid out there. He's got very good speed, and his positioning and 1v1 defending seemed decent. Hopefully DC can help him work out his distribution a little bit. I would imagine both he and Perry Kitchen will get a lot of minutes this year. Jakovic, the other central defender, has looked just awful every time I've seen him play.

Perry Kitchen is the only defender at DC who impresses me.

I've watched a few games and always found Jakovic to be the weakest of the CB pairing, whoever it was. It seems Olsen seems reluctant to pair White/Kitchen though, which I can understand. But at some point he might have to, especially if he is gonna put Kitchen out wide...bleh.

Much more impressed with White than Kitchen. White doesn't know how to distribute, but he's a pretty adept defender for a 20 year old CB. I will be following them both closely to see how they grow into these starting roles.

Hamid was excellent. Somewhat bizarre he's never played a match for the US at any level.

I do not believe that is true.
    From USSoccer.com 10/2009

Former U.S. Soccer Development Academy goalkeeper Bill Hamid, who played for the D.C. United Academy and spent time with the U.S. Under-18 and U.S. U-20 MNTs, was invited to train with the U.S. Men's National Team on Sunday and Monday.

I don't know the answer, but it's possible Hamid trained with those teams without ever playing an official match for them.

And Jakovic will presumably be gone for the Gold Cup.

Awful defender and Canadian defender are basically the same thing.

It's just the Regionalliga, but Terrence Boyd and Andrew Wooten both can't stop scoring. Both bagged another this weekend.

Wasn't davies the guy who was doing relatively well at Soton?

And i agree with the poster who said White is a bit better than Kitchen.
But they are still young and hopefully they'll get better.

Davies was indeed at Southampton. Whether he was doing relatively well, it's hard to say. He never played for their first team and he left the club when they were relegated to League One.

When your team drops a league and needs to cut wages big time there would be prime opps for any youth players that are rated at all.

I never thought much of Davies either way. I thought England's lower leagues would be a perfect for his limited skill set. Oh well.

Injuries aside, a dime a dozen MLS player who gets/got more press because he played for the Nats.

I think we as American fans overemphasize everything European without knowing the specifics of any players individual skill sets.
