Anyone else use All Music Guide? www.allmusic.com and allmusicguide.com are coming up snake-eyes and I was wondering if it tanked.

I'd been getting some funky search returns from it in the past few weeks, so maybe it's just getting a tune up, I hope. It's great resource.

    Hmmmm. Interesting.

And now those searches are working better too. Must have been a burp in their system. Thx.

All Music always amazes me. It's fun to look musician friends up to see what their projects have been.

Wanna see an amazing musical resume? Look up "Jane Scarpantoni". She's the coolest cello player on earth.

    That's a good life.

Here's another: Carol Kaye, who played bass on Nancy Sinatra's "These boots are made for walkin." There was an NPR story on her a few years ago and her resume is ridiculous: played guitar on Sam Cooke's "Wonderful World" and then played bass with just about everybody. Elvis, Ray Charles, Lalo Schifrin (Mission Impossible), Lou Rawls, Jimmy Smith, Beach Boys (Pet Sounds) the whole Phil Spector posse ...

    Her credits are ridiculous.

You want ridiculous? Try the discographies for either Tony Levin (bass) or Vinnie Colaiuta. Make sure you click on the "more" button. Sheesh!
