I have not been on here for a while but I want to correct this statement. The Sport Smoke is not a military product it is a consumer product sold mainly for paint ball. It is what I was asked to purchase by the operations staff. There are different sizes and the big ones that we have used are too much so we will not be doing that again. we have used smoke for years and it will not be stopping. We are looking for alternatives to the sport smoke as they dont seem to have a fast enough burn time. As far as a meeting with the operations staff, here is exactly how it went. Me- Well those big ones were really big Security and Operations - Yea Me - We should only use the small ones Security and Operations - Yea Me- I am going to look for alternatives Security and Operations - So will we. Everyone - See you next game.
There really isnt a good place to put this but Neal Patterson has cracked the Forbes list of richest Americans with 1.12 billion net worth: http://www.pitch.com/plog/archives/...ist-features-the-usual-locals-plus-a-newcomer
Lerner #393 (AVFC) Henry #311 (LFC) Glazer #108 (Man Utd.) Kroenke #92 (Arsenal) Anschutz #44 (LAG??) Thomas DiBenedetto (majority AS Roma) not listed
Kroenke also owns the Colorado Rapids. Anschutz/AEG is apparently also the majority owner of the Houston Dynamo.
Ugh. You could barely even affford a GulfStream IV with that. Might as well just be eating ramen every meal.
Just received an invite to beta test the new video app from Sporting Innovations, that allows you to watch the game on your phone, rewind, and view multiple angles. I'm excited I've been waiting for this app since it was teased in an interview.
Isnt the app for the trivia and what not called Sporting Explorer? I just got an iPhone and wanted to download it but when I enter that, a Rolex trivia app comes up.
Thanks, that worked. You would think it would still come up with Explorer. Not sure what Rolex has to do with Sporting Explorer unless maybe they have a watch called that.

Not exactly stadium news but the Legends outlet mall is going to be sold for auction of the courthouse steps. http://www.kshb.com/dpp/money/busin...teps-of-federal-courthouse-in-kansas-city-kan
Interesting that they went with this sped-up process. I wonder what's driving that. It continues to be a crappy time in the commercial real estate business. With the way retail is changing, it will take years to fill all up all the excess capacity, much less build anything new. I would guess that many, if not most, of the large multi-tenant retail areas developed from 2004-on are in some kind of financial difficulty.
I just don't understand an outdoor mall in this climate. In San Diego and Los Angeles it makes sense.
That's the result of a very definite change in consumer preferences over the years. At some point in the 90s, people decided they didn't like parking in huge parking garages, and would rather have a chance (no matter how small) at parking right next to the store they were going to. So everything new looks like Town Center or Zona Rosa, while many of the indoor malls have died. I think that disaster in Olathe was one of the last fully-enclosed malls built in this country. In the late 70s, there were 10 enclosed malls in KC. There's what, 3 or 4 that are really functioning now? Crazy.
They are tearing down Antioch Mall right now. They are about halfway done. I spent a lot of time there as a kid and that place use to be hopping. Funny thing is that it was an open air mall and they put a roof on it sometime in the early 80s I believe.
I get everything written above. However, I think it's a fairly unfavorable situation when between November and Christmas, when most retailers are trying to get into the black, they're up against sometimes freezing temperatures and whipping wind. Also take into account 7 straight days of 98 degree weather. I'll take the temp control. All things being equal though, I dig the outdoor mall more.
