Re: Wizards Stadium Discussion (Video update) Slightly related tangent: What happened to all the material from Bannister Mall that was supposed to be recycled/reused for the new development? Are they going to truck that over to the Legends? Save it for The Trails project 5 years from now? Has it already been sold for scrap? (In my head, Lane4/OnGoal have a large closet some place stuffed all the way to top with salvaged mall parts just waiting to cascade down on the head of the unlucky bastard who opens the door.)
Re: Wizards Stadium Discussion (Video update) People not from around here already think that's the case in Kansas City every day!
Re: Wizards Stadium Discussion (Video update) For the time being we could rename it, "Earthmovers." Should we add a key DP or start winning more hardware it'd be appropriate to rename it simply, "Legends!"
Re: Wizards Stadium Discussion (Video update) Makes me think of a U2 song .... just so long as the main road to the stadium is not Yellow Brick Road I am happy.
Re: Wizards Stadium Discussion (Video update) My insistent and persistent nomination of "The Occidental Villager" was equally insistently and persistently vetoed.
Re: Wizards Stadium Discussion (Video update) Let me just say, if what I saw this afternoon holds true, and I have no reason to think that it won't...the Kansas City Wizards will have the best Soccer Stadium in MLS!!

Re: Wizards Stadium Discussion (Video update) In my opinion, yes...of course, I am a little bias. That's not to say Red Bull Arena won't look fantastic, but our stadium will be better! okay, let the debate begin...
Re: Wizards Stadium Discussion (Video update) Choose one (we won't tell): a. No roof b. Roof but wavy c. Roof not wavy If b or c Choose another: a. Roof on all 4 sides b. Roof on 3 sides c. Roof on 2 sides d. Roof on 1 side
Re: Wizards Stadium Discussion (Video update) Drove by the site on my way back from a meeting at Ft. Leavenworth. No work was being done. All of the equipment was parked adjacent the road. I was hoping to see dirt being moved.
Re: Wizards Stadium Discussion (Video update) Roof not wavy on all 4 sides. Wavy makes it look like you are trying too hard.
Re: Wizards Stadium Discussion (Video update) as long as there is a stadium underneath i dont care if there is a roof or not...just build the stadium!!!
Re: Wizards Stadium Discussion (Video update) Two days in a row of excitement might be too much for us to handle. Does that patch of land look big enough for a stadium and parking? I don't understand why NFM would allow a bohemoth stadium to be built right in front of their building. That spot just doesn't make sense to me. Not complaining.....just curious about the exact location when there are bigger plots of land in the area that make more sense.
Re: Wizards Stadium Discussion (Video update) Roof, on all four sides. Could give a crap if its wavey or not. Its up there with yellow piping in terms of boredom. A roof that keeps the rain out as much as possible, and the sound in! As long as it performs these primary functions its all good ... as to the form? When I go to games I look at the field, not the rafters. Having a stadium that looks impressive from the exterior is never a bad thing ... if it looks impressive people will check it out, but that only lasts a short time before its just another building people drive by on the way to Panera or the Gap.
Re: Wizards Stadium Discussion (Video update) If they benched a wavy roof for a flat one and used the money for a DP or two .... I'd be down.
