All eyes on Vinicius tonight. Even though Rafinhia is a more important player for Brazil.

Great goal, I want to see more of that next season and the defensive contributions at times were very good

Great strike for his 10th goal in 50 matches for the Seleçao

And he finished the game with the same number of successful dribbles as Neymar

    Crosses: 3 (0)
    Dribbles: 8 (0)
    Ground Duel: 14 (3)
    Possession Lost: 20/53

Hope he does better vs mighty Haiti

Just saw him breakdancing on a Airpods commercial during the NBA playoffs.

Happy for his goal. While I dislike majority of this Brazil team, a Vini World Cup would be awesome.

1 shot, 1 goal, 1 point won for his team.

Thats clinical, thats efficiency, thats what I like to we from the future of the club.

Move up and move on to those golden trophies befitting of this Madrid legend.

His goal was pretty much his move. He's scored so many this way. Feels like it's his total go to.

Yeah he definitely didn't set up Raphinha with two clear chances, one of which should have resulted in a goal Raphinha didn't take woffs.

He also didn't press, work hard and try to break down a defense which pretty much set up at least two people to close down his side.

Seriously man so many can't even be objective about our players... then when it comes to a Vinicius? It's out of this world braindead takes.

Just give the guy is credit ffs.

The proverbial passing of the torch.

A great all around performance from Vini. Could and should have had a couple of assists and would have had this been a Brazil team of old stacked with world class talent.

But a Vini that get's you a goal off of one shot and a half chance, is creating all kinds of chances for teammates AND tracking all the way back to press and defend - that's best player in the world stuff.

Yet he was MOTM so you are objectively not being objective.

The rant? Just objectively breaking down your hyper subjective hot take

Vinnie was miles ahead of rafiniha in this game.
Brazil have no midfield so you can’t blame Vinicius for not scoring more. I think he only got the ball 4 times.
The team is anemic. 1/4 is their limit. And that’s with Vinny scoring goals like yesterday

This is a fair assessment and I appreciate the objectivity.

They do have a non-existent midfield and don't get much from their FBs. It will be very easy for opponents to just out 2 or 3 players on Vinicius side to stifle them.

What a bogus way of counting "successful" dribbles and crosses. Just in the first half, Vini successfully dribbled past 2 defenders to put the ball on a platter for Igor Thiago. Next, he incredibly successfully dribbled past his opponent to score. In the second half, his crosses created more goalscoring opportunities. Instead of such inaccurate stats, what matters is that Vini single-handedly dragged Brazil to a 1-1 draw, scored a world-class goal, created multiple key chances, and was ultimately named the official FIFA Man of the Match.

While people argue about the margins of this Brazil team, it's totally obvious that he is the Brazil team. The team will stand and fall as he does.

I've always felt like the strategy is get to the KOs and then go game to game, which is a perfect layout of games to actually pull this off playing this way with full focus on one player.

Yeah, but we know the risks associated with that. He'll soon be the target of roughing up sooner or later.

I think that's part of the consideration, short tournament, shot him up, get him out. This opportunity is unique.

Are we really going to start the season with this guy a few months away from being able to negotiate a free Bosman transfer to another team?

    Risky business. Very unlike Madrid.
