I think he will sign for either one of the Oil Clubs or move to KSA. He's won everything in Europe and like other Brazilians they will follow the money at the expense of their careers and/or legacy.
What can the club do? You can't force him to sign and you can't force him to sign elsewhere. The only step to take is to sign a replacement this transfer window. He risks not getting good offers if he's not playing regularly next season. Maybe that's why Perez was so desperate for Alvarez. I agree, I think his management team is trying desperately to find other suitors to drive up the price and is coming up empty. I think it’s going to be a (extension) signing bonus and 20m net or something close to it. Even if he has a great WC there is too much baggage and history of Brazilians who flame out after age 26 to warrant any other club to come in and offer him the big wages and bonus he thinks he deserves. We’re stuck with the Mbappe/Vinny combo for the next 5 years or so.
Neymar played like 6 games for Al Hilal but earned $250m in wages, bonuses and ad royalties. Not a bad deal. Neymar's excursion was hampered by knee injuries.
Neymar stopped taking football seriously after moving to PSG, other than every two years playing for Brazil. He peaked 23/24 which is why a €30 or even €25m contract now would be a bad investment by the club and I don't think they are oblivious to this..
This. Arsenal is linked but I feel he may not replicate his Real form elsewhere. Don't know how to write this without sounding offensive to Brazilians but we have seen a trend of players peaking and winning everything then relaxing or looking for a payout. Vini is still popular and will be relevant for a while. He need not stay at Madrid or produce value too much wherever he goes. May be wrong.

In all honesty, I haven't seen evidence that suggests Vini is out there relaxing and looking for a payout. His (alleged) issues have never been about putting in the work.
I watch some of the Brazil NT friendly games. Even in the highlights you can see complaining at least 4-5 times in a game to his team mates for not passing the ball to him, even though he’s not the best option. I don’t understand this kind of behavior. and it seems the media is also looking for this behavior from him
There's a big difference between him peaking and him being a Robinho. If he continues last season's output for the next 4-5 years then we're talking about one of the best wingers of all time. Yep. He's not very injury prone either so for those that don't enjoy watching the guy, you better hope he gets a fat contract elsewhere.
Yeah, so far he's made out of rubber, and he's never out of shape. The idea that there's going to dramatically decline is based on speculation. He's not going to slow down any time soon, but I don't think he's going to change in a significant way so what you're looking at is a player that wants to be a leader but isn't qualified for it but is really good regardless. His antics are impossible to tolerate, but unless something dramatic happens he's not going to be a wreck.
