On the flip side, where the hell is he going to go? Enrique will never have him. Utd under Ratcliffe no longer pay crazy money. Chelsea? The Saudis won't offer the €250m they did a few months ago.. I think its time for Vini to leave Madrid for his own sake or look for a new challenge or whatever. We are forever grateful for what he did for the team over the years, but maybe its time. I've been saying for a while now. I don't think it was the measuring stick until Mbappe arrived and shit hit the fan - but if Vini wants to get paid like Mbappe he needs to make this world cup the Vinicius World Cup. If Vinicius wins the world cup this summer and brings home the Golden Ball I can gaurantee he's getting a contract even bigger than Mbappe. He can't have a good world cup, can't have a great one - he needs to win the thing and be the best player. If he does that Vini and many others (myself included) will be vindicated. If it doesn't happen I expect Vini to signa mega contract with a new club next January and still get paid like Mbappe (signing bonus and all).
