Brazil limit is the 1/4, and even that should be with help from fifa and the refs. I sure hope vinny does well in the WC, it will benefit the club next season.

Really let us down screwing up that one on one. It was like watching Drenthe all over again. Everyone know he's going to try tobgo right and Neur shaded to that side leaving Vini’s left open.

If Vini takes it left Neur losing position and footing and he has a better angle to shoot.

He needs to be decisive there aren't any excuses

Vini simply isn't a high iq player. Lots of options, yet he almost always picks the worst one whenever faced with a decision.

I just feel he's the type of player where if given time to think, he overthinks and messes it up. If playing off instincts he's absolutely word class.

We had plenty of hero ball from him and Mbappe the past game.

More and more it's looking like those two just don't want to fit. They ignore each other often and don't make runs for each other or try to play any combination one touch passing.

I thought that he had improvement recently but there are games like the one yesterday, which quickly remind me that this is not the case.
It feels like as soon as Mbappe is on the field, Vini is downgrading a couple of levels. Just like when you don't max the chemistry in Fifa Ultimate team...

Yeah, he’s totally off his game when they play together and it’s been like this consistently since after the first couple of months of Mbappe joining.

Nothing indicates that they will be able to properly play off each other in the future.

Vini’s mistakes yesterday were criminal, including giving the ball away in our own half cheaply.

I dont mind giving the ball away sometimes, it happens, but what pisses me off is he didn't try and win it back. He strolled around expecting others to pickup his shit, which then leaves others out of position.

It's not just Vini either, seen it with Camavinga recently.

One thing I will say that was night and day between him and Mbappe. Mbappe defended and pressed when he needed to do so

There’s a line though between giving the ball away and doing so in really dangerous positions where we’re not set up to deal with a counter.

Even if you try to win it back you’d still fail. He did it right at the start of the first half right outside our own box and then for their first goal as well, it’s low level stuff.

It comes to a lack of concentration and accountability. Mendy, for all his on ball limitations never loses the ball in our half, ever, unless it’s a clearance. Trent did the same thing as Vini, passed it to no one with his left foot and we should have conceded from it.

Vini can't be decisive every much fine....

But being careless and putting your team in trouble time and time again unnecessarily is a big issue. At this level, the margins are too small that.

Must clean up the unforced errors. No excuses.

This is the package you subscribe to with Vini. You get incredible moments, and incredibly frustrating moments. It ain't gonna change at his age. Most you can hope for is that the good moments outweigh the bad.

He is the definition of hot and cold

this time of the year, he’s usually hot though. So I expect a goal next week

Hopefully. I am optimistic that we can fight back against Bayern. But, we are a goal down and going to Munich. I am happy if we go through, and ok with it if we don't. This year I am just enjoying the ride I guess, as I can't really "connect" with this group of players.

My concern from before was having both him and Kylian on the pitch at the same time, IMHO they don't play well together and leaves us a bit weaker without the ball, but the above is really annoying, it annoyed me when Marco used to do it and it annoys me with Vin now, there's just no excuse for it at this level, no one should be exempt from working for the team whether on or off the ball

He has zero IQ. For football or in general.
For the “general” part he has enough money to surround himself with smarter people.
The football side, at his age, it’s not going to change.
In the end of the day, it’s clear to the whole world that him and mbappe don’t work. One of them need to leave.

The problem is the 2 idiots at the top won’t admit that.

I actually like Vini both on and off the pitch but the venture has run its course and both should part ways in the summer amicably.

We get a good fee and he bags the money he wants and reinvents himself elsewhere.

He is not reinventing himself anywhere, he just don’t have enough will power to do so. He’s pretty lazy.
I also know that regardless of who’s coaching the team, we will see him and mbappe next season again.

Sincerely hope youre wrong. Because if this is what happens, there will be very little joy from watching matches at least for me. Its just not a pleasant experience.

Honestly, I think this stuff is overstated.

For instance I'm watching a 10-man barca struggling to find a goal and Rashfors just rounded the keeper and missed like Vini... the difference is that Rashford who has done nothing for barca was cheered and encouraged by fans while in Madrid we know that is immediate jeers and whistles.

Not saying Vinicius didn't have to make that.. I was the first to comment in his thread about it. What I'm saying is the pressure is so damn much the players brain freeze or screw up.

    They're human after all.

Now regarding Mbappe fitting with Vini; that is all Mbappe.

Mbappe drops deep when we are countering and attacking... yet when we are defending he stays high up the pitch.

It's what he is doing off the ball that screws us. It has nothing to do with Vini or the team.

They both occupy the same space. Also quite to often Mbappe is involved in passing out of the back than being upfront to receive the fall. Obviously there aren't players incisive or gifted enough (with the exception of Guler) who can pass the ball in this team right now. They pass like idiots.

Tbh If we had prime CR7 over either Mbappe or Vini, he would've scored at least a hattrick from the looks that they had. CR7 scored a hattrick on prime Neuer. These guys will never be at his level. Even if Mbappe breaks some of his records.

Missing 1v1 wasn't a big deal for me. It can happen to most attackers on a particular night. I think Bernabeu booed because of added frustration starting with Vini's giveaway leading to Bayern's first goal rather than just 1v1 miss.
