Bernabeu supported Vini so much. Club snubbed BDR ceremony and Bernabeu fans backed him despite Spaniard Rodri winning. He's being booed due to negative attitude on top of poor performances for a stretch. Benz was getting booed a lot in 2017-18 due to poor scoring form even though he had already won 3 CLs as a starter and had full respect of ZZ who kept saying how much his link up play is crucial for the team.
Dysfunctional dressing rooms almost always result in these droughts too. We were direct beneficiaries when Dinho, Deco etc were doing that at Barca 2006-08. Those who defend Vini to death here also hate what this team has produced in last 1.5 years as well. They just blame other culprits while being soft on Vini. Bad attitude and sportsmanship is always tolerated when the results are good. Every team has had a player they initially loved but quickly shoved out the door when the results were lacking. For example, i insist that looking back at it, i think that Pepe was a horrible look for the club and the team, but he was an effective tool of a winning team so our fans stuck with him through thick and thin. Lets face it, no Madrid player was ever booed at the Bernabeu like Vinicius was yesterday. Not in my memory at least. So its not because of his performance or because of his attitude. I will be honest. I don't want Bernabeu to stop booing Vini unless he shows signs that he's coachable. The way Florentino and Vini treated Xabi rather than put ego aside to do the best for the rest of this season at least, Bernabeu forcing out both would be well deserved.

The moment Vinicius lost me as a fan was when he was faffing around with Kimmich when it was their throw-in. Totally unnecessary especially in the sporting context where Vinicius absolutely had him on toast for most of the game. It shows he’s more interested in humiliating and annoying the opponent than he is in winning the game. I actually liked Pepe’s aggression, don’t mind if he goes in hard and also did not mind him kicking Casquero. The only thing I don’t like about Pepe was his flopping on every contact.
