The Bernabeu's loudest player whistles were reseved for Vini. I'de be actually surprised if he gets a contract extension unless he turns it around soon.
I think the problem is there isn’t a market for him. Maybe Chelsea, maybe Man U and Saudi are the options for him. He’s not going to get the wages he wants, but he might get higher amounts from the PL teams than RM, but that’s still a stretch. I think at the end of the day he lowers his demands and signs an extension. I think that’s a horrible outcome, but the most likely.
Unlike the rest of the ungrateful people here, I'm one who would actually want to give Vinicius some advice to help him through these tough times... App store > Duolingo > Download > Arabic
Vini needs to be introduced to Buddhism or something... learn the whole "let go and go with the flow" thing. He just doesn't "feel" where the offense is going and seems to make moves that go against the "current". In that sense, he's the absolute opposite of Benzema who was a genius in that regard. When to accelerate the game with a one-two, when to pause etc... How do you learn that? Especially with this attitude ?
This is the perfect test for Vini in the eyes of the club and fans. If Vini is able to come out of this "funk" and hit his stride again, a new contract becomes a favourable route for the club to pursue. If he fails this test, we should shake hands and mutually depart.
From @Lyra post earlier Alvaro Arbeloa: "The plan with Vini Jr is to give him a lot more balls in the the next games, and give him a bigger platform to perform. We will help him get back to his best." Alvaro Arbeloa: "I'm going to work to improve Vinicius, I'm going to ask his teammates to give him as many balls as possible, he's the most unpredictable player in the world" "Vinicius represents what a Real Madrid player should be. He arrived when he was just a kid. I'm proud to have him." Alvaro Arbeloa: "I'm so proud to coach Vini Jr. It's an honor for me." Vini has come full circle. Dude went from we must not pass him the ball because he is playing bad to we must pass him the ball at all times because he’s playing bad That’s some impressive shit right there lol
I think you nailed it in another thread @J-Mezzy , this is some MAGA admin press conference tactic. Everyone and everything is best all of the time and everything is fine. They aren't entertaining the noise from the fans and hope this all blows over. I don't think it'll work for them.
We have the best players The best president The best leaders and anyone who thinks otherwise is a fake fan!
Red hat Arbeloa: "Let me tell you about Vinicius. Great player. Tremendous player. Some people are saying the best. I don’t know, but a lot of people are saying it. Very smart people. I walk into training, I see Vinicius, and I say "wow". What a talent. What speed. Sleepy Joe couldn’t dribble past a cone, by the way. Couldn’t do it. But Vinicius? Total killer instinct. And I tell my players all the time. I say, listen folks, get him the ball. Give it to Vinicius. Because when he has the ball, things happen. Big things. Beautiful things. The fake news media won’t show you that, of course!"
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...ane-real-madrid-eden-hazard-under-performing/ Zinedine Zidane tells Real Madrid fans to get behind struggling Eden Hazard as ex-Chelsea star admits he is under-performing I can post maybe a hundred similar quotes from past managers from different clubs about struggling players. This is basic managerial shit when a player is struggling. They try to recover him mentally first. Seriously what is up with the cognitive decline on this forum. It was never like this a few years ago.
At his mental state he is one game at the SB where he will snap and do a gesture towards the fans and that will be it.
A coach trying to build the confidence who you need to perform to have a chance at winning titles this season and whose form is highly effected by his mental state? What do you guys expect him to do? Clearly tearing him down hasn’t worked.
Paraphrasing a Reddit comment. "Comunicado oficial: Real Madrid C. F. wishes to announce that, by mutual agreement between the club and the fans, it has been decided to bring the fans' contract to an end. We would like to thank the fans for their hard work and dedication throughout this time, and wish them the best of luck in this new stage of their lives."
One of the most infuriating on field tendencies of Vini, is to wait for defenders to square up to him, when he should be going full speed while they are still recovering. He never seemed to improve on this. https://youtube.com/shorts/PYUsyytAi8I?si=AQK4QTmOj8HprNAs
I have to be honest, I don't think we're going to see Mbappe playing LW in any significant capacity for us. His days at LW seem to be in the past.
I dunno man, he still looks pretty dangerous cutting in from that laft hand side He just doesn't play like a proper #9 should. His positioning is off, hence why rarely gets tap ins. There is barely any hold up play from aerial balls when he's the striker. And Thibo is forced to play those long balls too much because we can't get the ball out the 1st phase because the ball progression under pressure s*cks.
No, I get that, it's just that the numbers he is now putting up at ST are a bit crazy. Moving him to LW is most likely not going to happen due to that. Especially not for GG's benefit.
CR7 still got his numbers from the LW. He'll be fine. The team structure and fluidity should be top priority.
I am just very pessimistic about the long term prospect of a player that is this old and has this bad judgment and understanding of situations around him. He was getting boohed for all the wild shots and selfish plays and kept doubling down on them. He should be throwing his hat into being a captain of this team instead younger players have to hold his hand. I've seen it mentioned on the sports radio shows, is this a player that will age well into his 28 to 30 year old seasons?
