Xabi tried to invent the wheel and had us trying to float on tank treads. He failed. Those players have won at the highest level of the sport with another coach, he hasn't even punched his ticket in for those kinds of tests. They say to make omelette, you have to crack some eggs, but if you have to crack 6 eggs to gain 2, and end up with shells in your omelette, i'm not going to sit idle and see you waste all the good ingredients. Full stop. You understand that you are speaking about one of the most, if not most successful runs in football history. You are simply entitled and think every and any club has the ability to win endlessly. What we are now going through is NORMAL. Clubs like Liverpool hadn't won a title for like what, 24 years? Reading this place feels like people don't know shit about sport or how to contextualize defeat and victory. Not every model works for every club. This isn't a one size fits all discussion. You're just being a nerd.
🚨 JUST IN: Arbeloa plans to give Vini Jr a HUGE role in the team, making him the face of the squad alongside Kylian Mbappé.The Brazilian had told Real Madrid earlier that he had no intention of renewing his contract while Xabi was the coach. @La_SER pic.twitter.com/vopV6BVTGM— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) January 16, 2026
I'm actually restructuring my memorabilia collection and i have a match worn and signed kit by multiple of our players (and other athletes), and i recently sold my Jude Bellingham one within 2 days. I've been selling the Vinicius shirt at half the price for over 4 months now and there is zero interest, somebody offered me 15 Euro for it. You just have to laugh at how much tunnel vision people have when it comes to understanding jus thow unpopular this player is outside of this fanbase.
History has put us in the privileged position in which we are in the present. Thats about it with regard to history. It doesnt mean we have to repeat everything we did through history exactly as we did it in order to continue to be successful. The whole point is to avoid getting washed away by history like it happened to Milan or Liverpool.
People have predicted this "washing away" for decades now. I'm sick of seeing hysterical people think hundreds of millions of fans will disappear simply because of one bad coach hiring. Being a spastic doesn't equal knowing better. We just need to hire somebody better next time.
Yeah but it doesn't take a genius to figure out the team has duplication of roles and positions all over the pitch. Bad buys happen, but when you overstock on a strong positions because of fomo while neglecting weak areas, thats on you.
Of course, but you know what strikes me as very funny? We are in a great position to still find a solution and turn it around and people see the club collapsing, and yet, Barca still thrive with a wooden sword and cardboard. These clubs are simply too rich, too priviledged, too big globally to be allowed to fail or go extint. You could argue if it weren't for the ridiculous amounts of foreign money coming in, Manchester United would still be in an overwhelming position of financial and institutional power big enough to just outmuscle their domestic competition and as such create a huge amount of leverage to attack titles in europe as well. People flip to PSG being this "successful process" like if you just take their "process" you can implement it on Heidenheim or Rapid Wien you'll be swimming in a giant sized Champions League trophy money pool.
My impression is that he doesn't seem to be that popular within our fanbase anymore. But maybe I'm wrong.
Sports means being biased, we felt like Ramos was a STUD when he would go toe to shinpad, but on the other way around we hated it, until it impacted both his and our general reputation on the field where it led to us being yellow carded at yellow due to him.
This is the case with all our players not just Vinicius. These same guys were throwing Rodrygo out of the club but until Xabi actually put some faith in him we couldn't see him recovered. Vini goes against barca and outplays wonder child Lamal yet go back and look at how losers on here mock that goal he scored. So toxic, what good can even come? The reality is this will persist until the President and his lackey actually address the squad imbalance
I personally don't care what Umtiti thinks at all. Nobody in the history of the game has ever wondered "i wonder what Umtiti thinks about this". They can relieve a lot of that imbalance by allowing a massive burden to be turned into a valuable player capital reinvestment resource.
https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_...drid-contract-likely-xabi-alonso-exit-sources This is beyond pathetic. The fact that Alonso was seen as an obstacle towards Vini Jr's renewal, and firing the coach is some kind of demonstration of support, really reflects poorly on the direction and priorities of this club. A player first mentality is not something we expected to see after the club let legends like CR7 and Ramos walk for wanting a renewal at massive wages. Those were iconic players who could (somewhat) justify the club doing something like this. Even then, I was proud and delighted to see the club first mentality that the board and Florentino took. Truly tragic stuff. In all likeliness Vini will not justify a renewal even if he got what he wanted. He has metorically crashed in terms of delivering on expected results. He is no leader. He is no elite goalscorer. He isn't a positive & supportive locker room presence (based on what we've read out there). He simply does not merit bending the knee, the way the club is doing. Not at all a smart decision from the club. Vini is being offered €20 million annual pay package by the club. Vini is demanding €30 million. This guy better be sh*tting stardust if he's gonna take Real Madrid to the cleaners...and he most certainly is not. We live in an era of complete nonsense. I guess the Vini saga will not break that mold. Shame on Real Madrid's upper heirarchy.
I’m not surprised. Flo views him as a son in the mould of a Carvajal, Nacho, Lucas Vasquez type who were all canteros. Our only hope is the amount of money, may the only obstacle that presents us from extending him.
Madrid's social media accounts are rampant with Vinicius out messages and support for Xabi. I hope the Bernabeu is deafening tomorrow. I hope he never gets that fat contract. Stupid, spoiled, arrogant, treacherous little piece of shit.
Arbeloa twisting himself into knots to shower Jr. with praise for simply traveling with team [only to go missing against the substitutes of a 17th place segunda side] didn't help. What Jr. does on the short-term with his sporadic head-out-of-ass behavior or goals should have little bearing on the reality that his time is up at RM. His cultists and girlie fans refuse to accept this..and no it has nothing to do with his skin color, he would still be shit if he was red or green. A high-profile name must be into an example so that rest of the chihuahuas re-learn what side is up and get in line; Jr. is a poison that the club must get rid of.. Of course, the nightmare scenario for Perez, which is guiding a lot of his comical and damaging decisions, is that Jr. leaves on a free to someone like Al Khelaifi.
People already believe that the club got rid of Xabi to appease Vini, so this just puts a bigger target on his back, and if he doesn't perform it's just gonna piss people off even more. They're putting more pressure on him doing/saying these things. It's a mess that's most likely gonna get worse.
I hope the stadium is deafening tomorrow with it aimed at both the players and chants of Dimision aimed at Perez. Cannot let them get away with it.
Jesus so much hate in your heart. What do you do when he scores a goal for your team? Do you celebrate it or curse at him? This whole thread and the last few pages highlights the fact that some of you need to take a break from football. This is not normal. This is worse than politics on twitter. You're all mental.
I doubt that will happen anymore. If you noticed, the guy has a mental stability of a 3 years old and now with all the pressure on him again (all the "sources" about arbeloa want to make him the face of the team) and without anyone to blame (Alonso's gone) and the fact that we haven't really changed anything in terms of formation and players, this team is not getting better anytime soon - I expect him to go deeper and deeper into a hole. I really hope I'm wrong though
Sorry mate, but we all know how Rodrygo rolls. 5 months of crap form then followed by 2 or 3 months of great form. Rinse, repeat. Vini also immediately had stinker against a Segunda relegation level side and was outplayed by a RM reject. Sorry, but that kind of inconsistency is damning. Having one good game every 15 isn’t good enough for this club.
