Xabi could've used that moment to get players to buy into his methods. That was the moment to show the team he was a great man manager. Alas, it turned into a shitshow instead. But the club and players publicly backed Xabi after that. Vini was booed etc etc.

Btw that outburst was precisely because the players weren't being rewarded for buying into his philosophy.

And the rumours was about MULTIPLE players. Not a single one man army. Vini didn't get them to sign a petition to get Xabi disliked or sacked. Vinis outburst was just what we got to see in public. The two reconciled after that so there is no reason to overanalyse it anyways.

Perez had the chance to nail it but he didn’t. You see the reports coming out now and you just know there was something to it all. Too much smoke.

It will be the same with the next manager. Arbeloa already knows he can’t drop or sub Vini in big games now… unless he doesn’t care for the job permanently anyway. I’d like to say Perez won’t fire two coaches in the same season but I ain’t even sure anymore.

Why should Perez get involved? Did Perez get involved when Ronaldo threw a tantrum towards ZZ?

Xabi should have handled it. He didn't or he may have. The fact is that the players did run for him. Alot more than the players ran for Carlo when it came out in the press that Carlo would get sacked if we didn't win a particular game.

Because I guarantee Vini went straight to Perez right after that moment. Then the stories from Vini camp saying that’ll they’ll wait to see what happens with Xabi regarding his new contract.

Perez was already directly involved at that moment.

    I believe the reports.

So just speculation nothing actually of substance. This is hilarious. Wonder what else Vini will be accused of seeing as he is accused of sacking a coach single handedly.

Like I said, too much smoke with the reports at the time and the reports now.

I've been a fan of this club for 30 years. I don't think I ever hated a Real Madrid player.
Even someone like Like Luis Enrique I had respect for.
With Vini, a player that actually contributed to the club success - I have only negative and very bad thoughts. I wish him gone.

78,000 in the stadium last week booing his arse out can’t be wrong but while applauding Rodrygo.

If anyone should have had an issue with Xabi, it was Rodrygo. He picked himself up and played himself back in the team on merit.

Vini and Xabi embraced on the bench when we beat Bilbao. He ran his ass off for mutille games when his coach was rumoured to get sacked. Xabi backed him against Simeone. Its just a narrative that keeps being regurgitated because Vini has become public enemy number 1

I mean I just don't know what Xabi could have done to get Vini to "buy" into how the team should play.

I'll say it again, it's not like Xabi was asking these players to do something ridiculous unless the ridiculoussness was asking them to do something at all.

He’s one of the captains and he’s laughing his ass off on the bench during a tense period in the Cdr against minnows and with Xabi job in the line for the 100th time. Brilliant role model for us.

You said it yourself, against minnows. Other players ask for days off against these minnows. I mean that it even became a nail biter in the first place is ridiculous. Vinj wasn't even on the pitch but the whole talking pont was still about him.

Because he’s one of the captains who knows the team is going through a bad phase. Any captain worth their salt would be up and serious. Even if others on the bench are laughing and taking the piss, you be a man and tell them to STFU.

I actually think Xabi liked Rodrygo. It's why he still gave him minutes despite Mbappe and Vini being undroppable. Xabi knew that the personnel we had and the poor form that Rodrygo was in there was no way to justify playing him.

To Rodrygo's credit, he rewarded the confidence the manager had in him. Granted, this could still just be Rodrygo's hot 1.5 month of the season, but he's playing well right now. I think Rodrygo and Xabi both liked and respected each other.

Dude is acting like Vini laughing his ass off on the bench when Xabi's job was on the line is no big deal and he's actually the victim. Unreal.

What?! No social media posts about Xabi leaving? No "thank you, mister". No "good luck, mister".

Well, I am shocked. Shocked! Well, maybe not that shocked.

He's a clown, but he's not the only one.

Mbappe did a "thank you" post, but it means nothing because he's also a part of the problem.

Delivering a monologue in the season finale of a prestige drama. lmao.

Vini didn’t run over your childhood memories with an SUV. He dribbled past fullbacks and pissed off referees while carrying a ball solo for 64 m before dunking over a barca keeper.

if that’s enough to shatter three decades of emotional equilibrium then maybe the problem isn’t the winger

Love the idea that a lack of social media graphics is some grand indictment of character.

Madrid literally fired the guy midseason and half this board is openly calling for scorched earth, but sure, the real sin is not uploading a sepia fiiltered goodbye message with emojis and a motivational quote.

Jr. is a kunt and he had a big hand in the mess that transpired over the last 3 months.

But like @Galatico said, he's not the only one. I'm in the minority but I do feel Bellingham had a part, too.

Intellectual level of a pub rant shouted into an ashtray.
100s of cameras on vini, yet to pick one clip where he "requested" to get subbed so GTFO with this narrative. Xabi had this coming sooner or later. Architect of his own downfall.

We don’t know the intent of his note nor do we know who or what was behind it against Xabi

funny thing remains we are criticizing a player for no thank you farewell note while at the same time the other one because it can’t possibly be genuine.

At the end of the day, who cares? Xabi is gone and I doubt he cares much for public messages.

Reading Mbappé's insta post again, it says "I will remember you as a coach who had clear ideas and knows many things about football". Might be lost in translation but also feels a lot like a back handed compliment. Literally feels like something you would say when you don't actually have anything positive of substance to say :ninja:
