Lol so you’ve been lurking like a hall monitor waiting for someone to say something mildly spicy so you can pop out with a dusty quote like “aha, gotcha.” Congratulations, you contributed absolutely nothing about the match, tactics, or the actual point being argued. The thing is you don’t get to throw punches all thread and then suddenly roleplay as the debate police when someone jabs back. “Football iq” is what people say when they don’t want to discuss specifics. He literally does change his dribble patterns in game, he starts cutting inside, he goes wide, he wins fouls, he draws doubles and creates space. The problem is when the other flank is dead, midfield isn’t offering angles and the team’s shape is a mess his “adjustments” still look ugly. Is he doing it the best way he can?absolutely not, but he's far from being braindead in your footballing iq aspect.
Alright Vini let’s try this again. We need a good game from him as we are in disarray right now. There isn’t much room for mistakes anymore
You mean like when he has 2 or 3 passing options on the break, he always seems to almost always pick the worst one? Or if he picks the right one, he has a high chance of making a poor pass? Or is it one of his grandma powered rockets towards the goal? The opposite flank was already dead since Bale left, so Vini has always played with a dead right side. Lets just pretend that he never had a good season without a proper RW. Low IQ = low adaptability
lol the “grandma powered rockets” line is funny, I’ll give you that. It’s also the kind of joke you tell when you don’t want to admit he’s scored and assisted in the biggest games this club has played in the last few years. Regarding picking the worst option ,, you’re describing what happens when one guy is forced to be the entire transition engine. On counters he’s usually carrying it with two defenders already leaning into him, while the passing options are either late, hiding behind markers/ running into the same lane. Then you watch the one failed attempt and go “see, low iq!!” ALso, if the right side has been a parking lot for years and Vini still had elite seasons, then he literally proved adaptability already. You can’t use “dead flank” to dismiss his context while also admitting he produced anyway. Pick one
The fact that there's doubts if a team this expensive can beat Alaves says everything about the situation right now.
He is struggling with form. He is trying, he is just low in confidence and anyone with a brain can see it. Had a bad first 70 minutes than a great remaining 15. Hopefully the form picks up
Vini has never been consistent so you might be asking for a while. You take the good and the bad and hopefully benefit with a couple of UCLs. On the other hand, some people don’t like to be reminded that there is already a proof of concept.
There was a time where he was dependable every game. I hope he gets back to that. In order to win trophies we need that version of him. He was great for the last quarter of the game, hopefully he builds on it.
I just don’t think so. For years I’ve remarked on how wasteful he is, hoping that he would clean up his game and lean more into his underrated passing range. I’ll probably dig up the post at some point but after Vini’s breakout season I remember asking in this thread whether fans would be satisfied with Vini’s development if he had already become the final product (wastefulness and all) and the response seemed to be something along the lines of “he would be the best pure left winger the club has had if he keeps this up for another decade.” Vini playing like trash for 80 minutes and then ultimately being decisive is totally on brand.
Whatever helps us wins trophies is all I ask for in the end. So if that means him being decisive for just 10 minutes of the game and it's enough to get us over the line then so be it. I have no choice but to ask for that because he's the best left winger we have (Mbappe is not going back to left wing).

Such an asset this guy. You can literally see him earn a pen at any point in the game, despite sub-par first half. Only a bird-brain would think of subbing him out. Only if the refs were not this crooked. Sigh! “what’s Vinicius still doing here” 🤡 “Alonso is scared to remove him” 🤡 Between you and I, which of our player can create something like this ? pic.twitter.com/4T0sKINSkk— Adeleke R. In his Ballon D'or "winning" season, he did not fire up the field until the second half of the season. I still have hopes that he can turn things around (even though I have been saying that he is a goner in many of my recent posts).
Only in vini thread we can find people discussing whether he's a goner on not, despite providing an assist & (nearly)winning a penalty worthy foul in the most recent match.
He has been bad over a year. And we all can see how he disjoined with Mbappe on the field. I do not need to get into why some of us wanted him to leave. I see nothing wrong with my opinion of his recent form.
11 - Vinícius Junior 🇧🇷 is the player who has provided the most assists to Rodrygo Goes 🇧🇷 for @realmadriden in all competitions (11, more than double any other player; Luka Modric has five). Teanmate.#AlavesRealMadrid 💜🤍#Vinijr pic.twitter.com/kZBb9pPhrC— OptaJose (@OptaJose) December 14, 2025
