At this point you can't convince me that vinicous is playing to win the game, instead he is playing to get rid of Alonso. Simple as that. Get that lazy a$$ out of my club!

Cook the performances, they deserve critique. Vini was brutal, Jude nowhere near his standard, the whole side looked like it had just woken up from anaesthesia.

But the fair split is simple, players stunk it up on the ball & coach helped them stink longer by going strikerless in a game we were losing and waiting forever to bring on the one kid who actually attacks space in behind.

Actions speak louder than words, my friend.

Maybe he's playing to be the poster boy on the marca/AS cover, fulfil his 10x agenda, get the coach fired, who knows?

He can kiss the badge all he wants but one thing is for sure, he isn't playing for the team. Benzema was a wise man.

Also post instances where others let him down. It was a wonderful pass led by vini to Jude.

sequence was started by good driving run and switch of play from the wing

    "It's Mbappe's fault"
"He's the only one who tries"
    "Xabi hasn't clarified Vini's role"
"He needs more freedom not a tactical salad"
    "Make Vini comfortable again"
    "Tiene passion"
    "He made 1 recovery, though"
    "Yeah but Jude/Endrick missed, too"

i think you fail to understand (or deliberately disregard) the fact that when you ask for the top dog money, you are expected to play and behave like the player that deserve the top salary in the club. With vini last season and even more this seaeob, it's only regression.
He should shut the f up about asking for more money and concentrate on playing again.
Maybe fire 50 people out of his staff so he won't need so much money.

Ok so I now we go on rants sometimes when we are frustrated

Vini is a legendary player for us, key in two CLS and reached a peak where he was arguably the best player in the world for a short period of time

he saw him grow and overcome obstacles to succeed with us

    we saw passion and effort

and every player deserves support through a bad stretch. A bad week, or month, or even few months

but it’s been 2 years with Vini and on top of that, the drama persists. The behavior on the field

we are all grateful for Vini and all
He did and we loved watching him blossom into a world class player WITH us , but you can’t have superstar diva behavior without a superstar performance. He has to grow up and do so quickly or he should go. Resigning current Vini would be like when the sixers paid Embiid or the clippers paid Kawhi.

If top dog money automatically made you play like peak CR7 every night half of Europe wouldn’t be carrying around bloated wage bills. The club offered him superstar wages because he was playing like a superstar for three straight seasons while carrying the attack and tanking an entire country’s worth of hostility. You don’t get a discount on trauma because your current form dipped.

Fire 50 people why? What do you think he’s running, Amazon logistics? this dramatic obsession with imaginary entourages is wild. Nobody’s shielding that he was horrible, but this idea that salary obligates inhuman consistency while ignoring context & tactics is fan fiction.

It's not really an "inhuman consistency" people are asking for.

Vini of 2 years ago deserved the salary that's being discussed now. But since the ballon d'or debacle he hasn't really been that player anymore and his salary should definitely not reflect his past achievements and form. You'll never hear me say that he was never truly a world class player, but I haven't seen that guy consistently in a long time.

I understand your a Vinny fan, and I actually admire the passion, but don't try to twist my words.
The club offered him something at a point of time where he shined.
I'm not sure how I can explain it better, but he is far, far far far away from that level of impact on the game that he was 2 years ago.
It's not far from us paying big money to bring Eden and then understand (too late) that he is nothing like the kind of player he was 2 years before we signed him.
Vinny don't have mental strength to over come the dip he is on. He just doesn't have and I actually think that he can still flourish and impact if he starts fresh in another club, but in this club, he will never accept that he's not the top player anymore - once the club decided to bring mbappe.

I'm sure Vinny is actually sorry that he didn't just accept the original offer, because the chances of him getting what he wants are slim.

Someone wrote here that his staff is massive, so it was jab at him wanting more money because he has to pay a lot of salaries... I really don't care if he hire 10 or 1000 people to work for him.

Of course he is not at his very best right now, the entire structure is a mess, The coach is beefing with the dressing room and the attack has zero consistent patterns. Nobody in this side is at their optimal impact level. (Mbappe an exception) He already came back from being called a meme, a clown, a tra=sh finisher and turned into one of the most decisive players in europe.

Maybe he leaves one day, maybe he does not. But acting like the club is some helpless victim that spoiled a brat while happily riding his peak output and marketability is funny n absurd too,

Mourinho was onto something when he stopped being able to reach the players. Even Benzema, who he described as a cat, figured it out at some point.

Honestly, we're kind of seeing this everywhere in society. I see it more and more every day in the youth that I teach. Obviously it's more apparent in the celebrity/sports area that we're paying a lot of attention to.

I think there were other examples even going back to the 2000s, Cassano really comes to mind, but I think the most obvious example of this type of mindset and player taking hold was Pogba, who ironically also clashed with Mou. Of course we all know how he ended up, but "If I speak I will be in trouble."

Vini is headed for a similar fate.

Its a world where confirmation bias is the supreme ruler. People believe that in order to be successful you must be confident to the point of being arrogant. This means unwavering belief in anything you do, little self doubt and reflection (because its seen as a weakness), and once you start becoming successful this becomes a runaway train due to communication technology, because there will always be more and more people who will agree that you are an infallible god, from various motivations.

Not to sound like a broken record, but the root of all evil is late stage capitalism and the mentality of insatiability and need for hierarchy it imposes (or as they say "social dominance orientation"). Sure football has never been better, but ultimately we will pay a big price for all the lights and colours. Just hopefully not in our lifetime:D

It's a conversation for a different time and place but I mostly agree with you.

We'll be paying the price in our lifetime. It's happening right now.

    I think I know what you're saying.

Is it like a Schrödinger's cat? Xabi is both "beefing" with players, and has the players fully supporting him? Whatever supports the narrative?
