Over two full seasons (2023/24 and 2024/25), spanning 46 matches with a total of 2,677 minutes played- 107 chances @ 3.6 per 90min with 144 successful take ons at 4.8 per 90. Dribbling peaked in 2024/25 (projected ~80 successful take ons) Not bad for someone getting called cancer, asshole, idiot & monkey.

You found out that a guy who takes every set piece, every corner, every free kick and crosses 19 times a match has inflated numbers. meanwhile Vini creates danger by actually….you know… beating defenders, not by yeeting 40 hopeful balls into the box per game. The stats are meaningless. We have eyes. We see how poor he's been over the past season and a half. The stupid turnovers, making the wrong decisions with the ball, the regression in front of goal. He's not the same Vini that he was in our last double winning campaign.

Lady, the stats that you bring about show that Vini is no longer as good as he and his altar boys/girls think he is. The reality that you are somehow blinding yourself to is that his performances have fallen off a cliff in the past season and a half and he has to do much better. Not for him, because I don't give a f about him or any other player, but for the team.

I backed Vini to turn it around all of last year, and believed that Xabi's appointment would reignite him. So far, that hasn't happened. I hope he returns to the level he was at.
