Vini has never been in the spotlight as much as he is now in Brazil, and it’s not because of football. He’s everywhere in the news, which is quite embarrassing. It seems like he’s entering a new, Ronaldinho-style chapter in his career. Let's see.
I'll be honest, I skimmed past most of those posts and was happy to see the mods ending the discussion as I don't feel this is the right place or the right crowd to hold such a discussion. Then I jumped on to Twitter to see multiple Vini scandals being discussed and couldn't help but laugh at the thought of those posts kick starting the discussion which just ended.
Well as @YOUNGSTARS87 pointed out and i agree, Vin a is a more individualistic player, unlike say Rodry, and.... Benz, unfortunately so is Kylian to a point, Benz is a player who combines well with others, who is more adept at both making and taking chances with impeccable technique, even though i ragged on him for not scoring enough at times his "football" was always sublime, you need that to play with players like Vin and Kylian, they are a bit similar in how they approach the game, as mentioned, a bit more chaotic.
I think Benzema has a leg up in the hierarchy of the team. Two cooks in the kitchen might be one cook too many, and Benzema had become the chef of the team. Then Vini explodes for that second half of the season and his entire self reflection of what he is as a player changes
It did help that Benzema became an amazing finisher for a couple of seasons . You could throw the ball at any pace or height in his vicinity and he would put it on target.
I agree here, by that point it was absolutely Benzema’s Real Madrid, there was no ambiguity as to whose role fit where in terms of leading. But, at the same time, Benzema’s effort levels were immaculate, there was no room for any of the younger guys to take their foot off the gas when their leader was doing it all, in his mid 30s. In this season, Mbappe is playing at such a high level, that again there is no ambiguity, and to be fair, he’s doing it all, on and off the ball just like Benz did. Let’s see how Vini reacts to it.
Exactly. Benzema is a cohesive player which is why he works well with individualistic/chaotic ones like Cristiano or Vinicius. If Benzema was like Higuain it would have never worked out with Cristiano. Brazil just like Madrid need to surround their chaos with cohesive
I'm sure the only thing people in Brazil are talking about is that joga bonito is back and they can thank Vini for it.

to be honest, I don't think Vini was as good as people are saying, it was that the entire team was below average and not with clear ideas, and so Vini performance was better than others, but nothing phenomenal. Not to mention his acting, it was acting, good acting, got us the red the red card, I hate when other players are doing this, but I hate even more when our players are using this theatrical performances.
Statistically it is Vini's best start to a season, however, he is not as 'explosive' and damaging as he was 2 seasons ago. That said, I think he is on an upward trajectory but he must be better in his decision making – particularly taking on 4-5 players alone. The first red was the very definition of a sending off but this hacking is now normalized. Viewers have gotten so used to these challenges vs Vini going unpunished that seeing the culprits punished for them now is "taboo"; he should endure and STFU. The 2nd challenge was milked to the max by Vini but the fact is that he was hit without the ball by a player on a yellow. It was a fair 2nd yellow. But if you want to be fair, Femenia was on a yellow and made a reckless challenge on Vini, he should have been sent off.
I saw no acting and I kinda see Vini talking and conplaining less this year. Hopefully he can keep his head down keep working and enter his more mature era. Mpabbe is shining right now, Vini can be up there too.
I noticed during the game on Sunday just less complaining in general. I wonder how much of even that might be a Xabi effect kinda thing. From the stuff I've seen (which is my way of saying there might be stuff I miss or that the camera doesn't show), Xabi will express his complaints in the moment towards the 4th official and such but once the decision's made and nothing's gonna change it, he accepts it and moves on. Not trying to do another "bash Carlo" thing, but I do think he could be a bit of an enabler towards allowing the guys to bitch on the field about refereeing decisions, Xabi seems a little more "deal with it" by contrast. And we needed something like that, something of a "quit your bitching and move on" acceptance.
I think Vini's attitude has improved a lot this season. It has to be down to Xabi at least to a degree. Vini still has room to grow to get to his best, but I am much less annoyed by his overall work ethic and attitude this season.
