Or, and this will be a wild take for you...

Vini was spoiled by the former coach who gave him total freedom to do whatever, wherever on the pitch week in and week out with unsailable. Past Zidane, he never understood that coaches have requirements and expectations, that he too can be subject to rotation – *hark* how dare Xabi!

The truth is, Vini isn't delivering on the pitch. Aside from the end of the half assist that wasn't to Mbappe, he cannot take out his marker, +70% of his dribbles fail. The kid is dull and uninspired.

Will he get better? I sure hope so.

But this is Mbappe's team now, he's the reference point and deservedly so. Perhaps that hasn't sat well with the Brazilian who has used the contract renewal as a hail Mary to reinstate his #1-star-of-the-team claim as the highest paid player in the club.

Maybe, just maybe, these are more plausible scenarios than Xabi being the head of the Basque chapter of KKK. Oh and there are "darker" players than Vini on the team.

I think Vini's "camp" are up to no good. Perez has tamed worse individuals and these folks are playing a dangerous game.

Alas, you're here to settle scores against those who dismissed your beloved former coach, took over his job and has now supposedly "undermined" the former king of RM.

    Laughable sh!t..

Vini is trying to fit into a new system. I prefer this version of him than the one from last year.

He is still nowhere near his best. Let's not be dishonest and say he's always been an average player.

More of the "what have you done for me lately for me". It really is a shame to see guys like Vini, Rodrygo, Camavinga, Carvajal, Militao, Rudiger, Alaba, etc., who won so much get thrown out with the garbage because todays newspaper had a new story to sell about the sky falling.

Without his penalty midweek the team drops points. He gets an assist today. Had the game winner a couple of weeks ago. The team could have easily dropped about 9 points so far this season without Vinicius, so as bad as he has been he can also turn completely turn the game around at any moment and win it - which is the gift of the greats.

You do mention Xabi being Basque, a region with a very isolationist politics almost on brand with MAGA in terms of you're either one of us or you're nothing.

And so both things can be true Xabi can be a racist and hate Vini for being an anti racist rich superstar who wants to be treated like one.

There’s nothing like Fierro fan fic lol it’s basically a new episode after every game. This week it takes a dark twist with Xabi being a closet racist who has it in for Vini! LMAO.

He's literally making things up he doesn't even believe to get reactions. Why the hell are you so damn invested in trying to convince him of anything?

Also the race trolling? That is crossing a line. If I can't talk about any social issues he can't troll using race as the but of his jokes

This game was the turning point as a 20 goals per season scorer.

I don't know how credible the information is, but Kiyan Sobhani from Managing Madrid, who has been reporting from Madrid this week, said that he received some information regarding Alonso's view on Vini.

Apparantly Alonso isn't a big fan of Vini. He didn't know whether this is from a stylistic / tactical fit perspective or personality-wise.

From what I know of him, Kiyan isn't known for sensationalist reporting and usually only broadcasts information if it has been received from trustworthy sources.

No suprise as Alonso is seeing this version of Vini so far. He needs the get back to being a difference maker in majority of the games like 2021-24.

High turnover ratio becomes a sticking point when he isn't playing at high level.

    It would surprise me tbh.

Xabi has a player that has shown to be absolutely elite (you don't need to train him in person to see the obvious..), (potentially) represents an immense value on and off the pitch, but is currently somewhat struggling. A manager should see it as a challenge to get him back to his best, because it would make his job much easier and his job security better.

Giving up on him because he is struggling for form would be a bit disappointing, but then again, it's just a rumour.

I don't think Xabi will give up on Vini. He's still starting majority of games so far and will get the opportunity to find his top form back. But there has been some tension for sure.

In one CWC and one La Liga game Xabi was yelling Vini to press and Vini was arguing back. Haven't seen such vids in last 3-4 games.

Vini deserves and will get opportunities and some patience. The club will not give up on him. But he has to do his part. He can and should overcome this as long as he manages his own emotions

I don't think these latest rumours point to the club or Alonso "giving up" on Vini, that's not what is being apparantly said here.

Something happened. Didn't Vini stay in Spain for the international break, you would think Xabi would use that time to work with Vini one on one and try to get things back on track.

Vini is one of the clubs most valuable assets, if not the most valuable, getting your star players firing on all cylinders is part of the managers job.

These reports tend to indicate that maybe Xabi is not open minded or doesn't have the man management skills to work with different types of people and personalities. Maybe Xabi is the type who would have cut Michael Jordan from the high school basketball team because he doesn't like trash talkers or passed up on Steph Curry because of his weak defending.

Okay, we'll see. If the rumour is "he's not a big fan of Vini", and assuming that's true, then I don't know how Vini will ever make him a big fan. Vini is Vini. He's an all-action player, that will run at defenders, lose the ball relatively often, get in the ref's face (and sometimes teammates) the whole game, but will do absolutely incredible things at the biggest of moments, winning Real Madrid trophies.

Xabi "giving up on him" was perhaps a bit too much, that's fair. But maybe "not a big fan" is almost as bad. I think Xabi should make it a priority to make Vini work again – I see Vini trying, putting in the work in games, so maybe Xabi needs to help him by finding a solution to get one of his best players regain some form. @YOUNGSTARS87 mentioned one, which I disagree(d) with, but hey, it's a potential solution: get creative!

Vini Jr’s agent had a one and a half hour meeting today with Real Madrid CEO José Ángel Sánchez.

The meeting was NOT about the player’s current situation with playing time, but about his RENEWAL.

Real Madrid’s stance & their proposal have NOT changed. @MarcA

Maaan, talk about a wild take, or a wild swing even, back then it was, Vin is lucky to have the "former coach' as his coach, he's turning him into a productive player, ZZ had no clue, the coach made him a 20 goal a season player, helping us to ....2 La Liga titles, 1 Copa and 2 CL Titles, now here we are with a completely different narrative to suit today, Vin was "spoiled" apparently never understanding "requirements and expectations" i gotta say as a Madrid fan for many years i think we expect the players to produce and help us to win trophies, both of which i think Vin has done in spades , is he at his best now, absolutely not, far from, with the "former coach" that kind of stuff was always down to the coach for some, different days now, you just can't make this day to day narrative up, or.... maybe you can....
    Indeed

If Vinny wanted to leave, where is he going? Who’s going to pay his wage demands, what club would take him and what club would be be willing to go to?

    EPL
City - maybe? Only if Pep leaves. Unlikely though
Man U - no CL football and dumpster fire
Arsenal - won’t pay the wages
Liverpool - won’t pay the wages
Chelsea - likely the best landing spot in England

    PSG - best option

    Bayern - won’t pay wages

Serie A - no club has the money for wages

Saudi - biggest pay, but least competitive

So, he’s got Chelsea and PSG as possible landing spots, which I’m not sure of they are even viable. Not exactly a great position to be in.

I don't believe it. More club propoganda.

100% the meeting was about his playing time and it was disclosed Xabi has little to no say over who does and doesn't play. The decision came down directly from Perez to put Vini on the bench for some games and if Vini wants to be an automatic starter going forward he can sign the contract the club is offering as is but if not then the there are many ways his life can become even more unbearable than this in the coming months and it would be a shame for something terrible to happen to such a promising player who has a whole carrer ahead of him playing to make Mbappe look like a brilliant Florentino Perez masterstroke.

Reminds me of the times when Alex Ferguson was saying the club was run like the mafia or better yet reminds me of how Mbappe was treated at PSG when he lost form and rumors started picking up that he would leave on a free transfer.

    Lol!

I remember all of that. It was Zidane who had him on a leash and didn't allow for his creativity thereby was stunting Vinicius and Rodrygo.

Magically now their growth was stunted due to Ancelotti not giving structure and allowing too much freedom.

It's always wild how things get spun and twisted.

Indeed, yet again it's all about who is liked and disliked, didn't like the last coach and never really liked Vin so let's just drag them both down (multiple title winning coach and player mind you but who cares about that) with some bogus narrative to suit today, meh, mediocre....
