Sad to see this forum go down the drain cause of people like you and mods delighted with this kind of engagement. People complain about the sport changing and the fan base is so much worse.

I see you feel left out. Lighten up and try to have some fun. Look how happy mini Vini is to be the face of the club.

That goal he scored is a perfect example of "pulling a rabbit from a hat."

World class and for me it's indisputable.

The question is why his doll is darker than Camavinga when they're basically the same shade of brown

Vini doesn’t seem to be taking the lesser role well, and I get it. He was the star and he was the hero when we needed him only for his role to be diminished. It was the right decision but that’s not how athletes think. He didn’t look excited when Kylian scored and even when we won. You could tell this is weighing on him

Could this also cone from the top to lesser his wage demands or is this strictly football from Xabi?

It’s early in the season but for large stretches of games so far I’m seeing the same Vini we’ve seen since the start of 2025.

No one is trying to mess with him. He wanted Mbappe money (despite not being a new signing), and Mbappe has completely left him in the dust on the field.

He shouldn’t bank on that €20m net salary offer always being on the table. He might get something lower and a signed Fat Joe CD. Yesterday’s price is not today’s price. Ask Ramos. Perez can be ruthless.

He really doesn't have anyone to blame but himself. He was still the lead attacker at the start of last season. Until he turned MIA a few months in and never looked back.

Being a leader is about more than goals and glory. Several highly celebrated players left out the backdoor and were never seen again.

With the entire Madrid press leading about how sad he is, I wonder why we should care.He loves the attention and the spotlight, but that's for him to figure out.

I can’t recall a player dropping form so quickly and dramatically for so long - that wasn’t injury or partying booze related?

Unless it’s hidden well, Vinny isn’t out every night. He looks fit.

Just a very bizarre situation with Vinny. I see him one step closer to the exit than one step staying as of now.

Vini as a dribbler has become very predictable and his link up with Mbappe is nowhere near as it was with Benzema from 2021-23 and Jude in 2023-24.

Unless his final ball becomes accurate again, opposition teams will treat him as a one trick pony.

I like what Xabi is doing with him...he needs his "shock" to his system. Vini in top form is always a top 3 player in the world. If we have to piss him off to wake him up...so be it. Last year's coddling didn't work.... must try something else.

    We need him.

He's very one dimensional and if you can keep up with him athletically you can get him out of games most of the time.

We also know how Perez can sometimes be like "this guy is playing, I don't care" to the manager. Maybe moreso Perez 1.0 but the stories still exist. That Vini has now been sat twice for what can be easily described as "strategic" reasons plus the story that he was set to be benched for the PSG game until Trent got injured - none of these benchings came from what would be described as "normal rotation"-related reasons - suggests to me a kind of tacit approval from Perez that Vini being benched isn't a problem.

Probably a lot to do with the drama that follows him. You have to have a lot of credit to cover for that drama and since he hasn’t been performing to his CL winning season levels, Flo and the club are fine not giving him special treatment.

Xabi is definitely trying to make it work so that the "names" play, and as you said it's part of our club culture by now.

I don't think of it as a permanent thing though.

They’re normal to me because by Vini’s own standards, he’s been poor across many many months, and now has Rodrygo solely focussed on the left wing role, that’s real competition.

Rodrygo has asked Xabi to be excluded from the right wing role completely. This is an unprecedented situation, and if Vini doesn’t perform he’ll get benched, and we’re seeing that happen.

How do you rate Rodrygo’s performance on the left wing thus far?

Not sure what to think so far man. Last game there were some nice moments where he went past players and played dangerous cut back passes, and won the penalty also.

But both he and Vini have totally higher levels which we’re not seeing so far.

Then you have Endrick. Who’s to say he doesn’t come in and explode on the scene as a wide attacker next to Mbappe. We have so much talent, and it’d be dumb for anyone to think their position is safe.

I think it defeinitely comes with Flo's stamp of approval to put him in his place and I think it's a terrible idea. Both times Vini was benched the team struggled to beat a team it should not struggle to beat and both times when he came on his impact on the game was undeniable.

I don't think having Rodrygo and Vini compete directly against each other is bad idea. They are teammates and they have proven they can play together, that one doesn't have to sit for the other.

On the other hand Flo might also be trying to sabotage the whole Brazil NT setup.

Pushed Carlo out the door and both Vini AND Rodrygo might be posturing for moves out of the club, the club would take a major PR hit if Brazil wins the WC next summer and the club decided not to keep any of them around.

So maybe this is Flo trying to tank Vini's form and transfer value so he has to accept lower salary offer and not go into the world cup full of confidence.

Also maybe Flo now fully on the Mbappe bandwagon and willing to burn bridges with all three of Vini, Rodrygo and Endrick. Huge gamble to take given that could well be the World Cup final game winning trident.

This sounds like way too much effort for nothing.

The truth is this could be a case like Ribery and Robben having a career year where they arguably deserved to be called the best player in the world but then never came close to having that opportunity.
