You should try understanding the argument before playing along. I'm talking about narratives. I'm not blaming Mbappe for any roster deficiencies—that's on the club. The reality is that Mbappe entered a team that was already a bonified European top contender with elite attacking talent. That is, 2 UCL titles and 2 league titles in 3 years. For reference, Ronaldo joined a team where one of his coaches STILL gets plaudits just for making it to the UCL semis a few times.
: Valencia are seriously considering filing a lawsuit againt Netflix for their Vini Jr documentary. @MarcA
It would do Vini a ton of good to disconnect and recharge. Surely he is not responsible for Netflix' schedule, but maybe a bit of time outside of the spotlight would be good for him.
Vacation plans in the US. Plane trip scheduled to land in Miami, sail up the coast to Charlotte, then go see the "Liberty" bell in Philadelphia. Chances are by the time the knockout rounds start he might be firing on all cylinders after hitting the restart button before the end of the season and getting his system updates finished before going into the CWC. There were still glimpses and flashes but it seems like his head wasn't really in it for whatever reasons last season but if something sparks him I can see him catching fire fast and going on a 4 or 5 game terror and right back in the BdO convo to start the new season.
Certain people at a certain age are just not going to give up social media and any opportunity for attention.
While watching the Netflix show, I noticed Vini Jr. playing with a lot of emotion last season. This season, though, he seems to have less fire in him. I believe he's at his best when he plays with that intensity and passion. Those taunting by fans really turned him into a beast. And he enjoyed taunting the fans with his goal celebration. All of those antics on the field really fired him up t
It is, but it's not as mind numbing and anxiety inducing or as manipulative as other more modern forms of it. Message boards and forums like this were just about as good as it got for social interaction on the internet. We may disagree a lot and sometimes things devolve into shouting matches on here but I find far more well thought out opinions on here than modern social media. Even Reddit, the way its structured and moderated is the diet coke version of what an old school message board and forum like RMBS is. Anything else is designed prey upon our insecurities and desires. Here we can actually have a discussion.
The fact that he’s done this Netflix doc doesn’t bode well at all for his improvement for next season.
I look at them as pure entertainment. Every documentary only wants to push a particular narrative or agenda the same as a movie. People treat most documentaries even now as a truth telling medium but many docs are closer to the Office. A show with shaky cam.
Watch him hit every high end venue in the western hemisphere and party with every celebrity he encounters on the way this summer. He is just a kid who loves the bright lights. In this age, some mature quickly once faced with the madness that comes with being the public figure, others actually stay kids for much longer than they would have if they were not public figures. Vinicius belongs to the second group it seems.
Lol you will paint anything that guy does in a negative light. If they reports he woke up early you will come with some speculation of how that means he isn't going to play well
They announced this movie in 2022 and began production in 2023. Why release it now? Im sure it’s a bit of damage control regarding his play and behavior on the pitch and gives alot more insight to the racism abuse he suffered. I recall Valencia refusing cameras back in 2023 at the Mestalla.
Uh because of post production editing and distribution? Its not like they filmed the documentary and planned to hide it in a vault, waiting for Vini to have a bad season so they could use it as damage control.
Pretty sure Netflix and Vini didn't anticipate this season before settling on a release date. I'm with Hector, I don't have interest in watching this or any other player's documentary. I could only watch 2 minutes of Sergio's on Prime and his was multi-episode. I haven't even watched the documentaries the club has done. More of a true crime person
