I guess they don’t teach Math comprehension in Germany, when I said that Vinny is a better version of Robinho, as in not equal. Remember these symbols? > < Regardless, you make this forum unbearable at times. Based on the Clasico performance today, I guess you’ll standby that EXCELLENT comment?
Vinicius has done so much for the club so he has a lot of credit to have a one terrible season .This most likely means that Rodrygo is gone and this experiment with 3 left wingers is over . Vinicius has to get the Balon dor out of his head ,he is not winning it,he has to focus on saving his career.Starting with the CWC we will see if there is a change .
Had last season not happened that's probably what he'd be doing this season and we'd probably be better off. What Xabi will have to do next season is choose his hunting dog and the rest will have to be support casts.
Right?? I mean, give him a season under Xabi to see what you're dealing with before reassessing whether you should extend him and pay him more. Maybe this season was a one off, but what's the rush? Nobody will pay his buyout clause. Chill. The board is making some weird decisions lately, and I just hope we don't bring ourselves into a bad situation by handing out massive contracts left and right. This is more or less the same board that let DiMaria leave after he was our MVP in the decima winning CL campaign. How do we go from "everybody is replaceable" to "we can't afford to lose this guy who still has 2 years of contract with us and a billion euros buyout clause"? Make it make sense.
His contract ends in 2027, if you don’t extend him this year you run the risk of him asking for a move in 2026 where you either sell him for way below his market value or run the further risk of losing him for free in 2027. A decision has to be made this summer, and that will be to extend his contract of course. Easy decision on our part, even though the timing is weird at face value i.e. giving a player a pay rise after his worst personal season in three years but that’s the game.
Asking for a move where to? You can argue that some Premier league club would Already be testing the waters if he'd have a market out there.
I dont think anyone in this team is irreplaceable. It will suck to lose certain players but we've shown time and again that we are able to adapt to any departures.
The only market is Saudi for insane money. And that shouldn't be discarded so quickly. We have the possibility to completely overhaul the squad with the objective of maximizing Mbappe and Bellingham. For me Vinicius isn't untouchable. We always said the good outweighs the bad, but there are players with better good to bad ratio, and putting several pieces together from such players together here would have a positive net effect given the premise of maximizing Mbappe and Bellingham. Being stuck with two players who don't put the defensive workrate and run into each other because they have 99 percent the same game is a problem if trying to develop any kind of system.
Vini won't go there. Don't know who's selling that, but I'm not buying. Dude is young and full of juice and motivation, he won't go retire already.
Hes also crazy and kinda stupid, so if you add unspeakable money to that and what happened this season, its not inconcievable by any means. We have seen hes capable of misrepresenting reality in many ways in his head so far, whats stopping him to not think of Saudi as retirement but as another phase of his revolutionary path? If anything he'd be following his idol Neymar's footsteps when he went to PSG.
I feel like he likes being a star way too much to go there, I watched a video online where he was wearing Real Madrid gear in public, being a Real Madrid player is all he knows his entire adult life.
Dicked left and right but he continues this nonsense. Vinícius Junior reminding the Barcelona fans who were chanting at him how many UCL trophies Real Madrid have got. pic.twitter.com/XckQX7hThD— Madrid Universal (@MadridUniversal) May 12, 2025
When he started that whole "racism" crusade, that's when the club should have told him to stick to football.
The problem is that Vini's mental health is fragile. If you don't give him the contract now, you are taking the risk of seeing a worse version of him next year, where he still thinks he is the golden ball winner candidate and the racism crusader of the world, while skulking all season.
Look, it's an incredibly grandiose idea to confer upon oneself as a very young foreigner to solve some deep sociological issues, be they real or imagined, and lecture another country. As a footballer, he has no depth nor knowledge to deal with this. That was an opportunity to build some mental stability and resilience while reflecting on his own behavior; instead, the club fed his fantasies of being a victim when in fact he is a multimillionaire playing in the biggest club in the world. This is at least a dissociation from reality that should have been dealt with swiftly, especially knowing his personality.
Vinicius didn't just come to Spain one day hoping to pose as an anti-racism crusader. This guy has suffered horrible racist abuse. I have a ton of sympathy for him, but as a Real Madrid fan I would rather the club cuts ties if he is now damaged goods. Again, I hope he's not. I hope he's back to his best next year, but his antics, his behaviour and his attitude are deeply concerning in my book. And I'm not sure simply throwing money (close to 60 mil gross per year) at a problem is the right way of going at it just now. I'd give him a season under Alonso to see if he gets his head screwed back on. Just my 2 cents.
It’s not going to end well with Vinny and Real Madrid when the time comes. My hope is we’re able to maximize his value before it’s tanked.
He's been rocked by the Mbappe move and him breaking records in his debut season. I hope it passes him and he adapts.
Sore loser mentality I'd expect from a cule. We said there would be a day that his constant taunting would lead to embarrassing moments where the tables are turned. When I see this I see a lack of self-reflection. Everything is a personal attack and every deemed personal attack must be met with a counterattack. His ego is beset and attacked from all sides based off of every reaction to every provocation. His mind is preoccupied with him having to protect his identity and ego instead of focusing on the things he can actually control. With no break from football I fear we won't see a course correction but rather a doubling and tripling down on things he can't control and his football will continue to suffer. I hope I'm wrong.
I don’t think it’s lack of reflection, even if he thinks about it carefully he will do the same things if put in the same situation. That’s his attitude to football, and without a major shock to his system it’s probably too late to change that sort of thing. He is just a knob on the pitch. We have to get used to it.
