Man I hope Vini smashed that pumpkin to pieces. He totally deserves to get his brains blown out by seasoned pro who doesn't do it for the money but because its what they do well.
Maybe they are spending too much time talking, he's definitely saying too much at this point. This could put a ton of pressure on all parties involved. Can't see them walking off at the first n-word or monkey chant, but then where do you draw the line and take action.

Because he looked like those girls who come back from a summer beach vacation with braids and beads in their hair. Thankfully he should go full reverse-Samson now.
I don't mind the braids but the fake extentions are doing my head in. Bad girl summer vibes. Even football players with regular haircuts are obsessed with it to be honest. Emre Can was getting a haircut every other day during the euro.
This thing is starting to bug me lately. Scenario: Vinicius will have the ball. He will move inside from the left wing towards the middle, just around the penalty box. He will usually drag the opposition RB and RCB with him. One of our players will open himself for a pass with an overlapping run into the free space, but Vini will not pass and will go for the shot or dribble. I used to think he only ignores Mendy. Because, tbh, most of the time Mendy just passes the ball back to him instead of crossing or running towards the goal with the ball. But Vini now ignores pretty much anyone not named Mbappe when they're open on his left side. Here's a prime example from yesterday's game. Ceballos not only lost his marker, but made a 40 yard sprint to create a perfect opening for an almost certain goal. Sabaly and Llorente are both busy with Vini. The run is completely ignored by Vini. Yes, this was the moment Vini struck the post, but my argument is there was a far better option there. Here's another angle of the moment Vini took the shot. Mbappe and Rodrygo are both in the offside position because they're expecting Vini to make a pass to Ceballos who, because of the speed, will be in a perfect position to pass the ball to one of them and they'll be onside without anyone blocking the pass line. Three players did a great job of reading the situation, but Vini goes for a shot instead. This is a scenario I've seen over and over and over again. It'd be the same with Fran Garcia. We never utilize the speed our left backs have. All the runs on the left are pretty much worthless. Vini decides to drive the ball towards the crowded middle instead of releasing his overlapping runner. I don't know why this keeps happening, but every time I'm thinking our fullbacks are just wasting their stamina if they start running forward. Is anyone else thinking this is a problem, or am I just obsessing for nothing?
I said this ages ago when the cry was Ferland never crosses the halfway line so we needed a more attacking LB because Vin was always isolated and "needed help" , that discussion went on for awhile, i said then it's just how he plays no matter who is the LB. Fans saw it but still went with the Vin is too isolated and is always marked by two or three players, and he needs an attacking LB to help him narrative, but he likes to play this way, he likes to hold on to the ball and to dribble, no matter who is LB, be it Fran, Ferland, Cama, Nacho, David, it doesn't matter, the only player i've seen Vin defer to and play one twos with with any regularity inside or outside was....... Benz, I want to add, it's just how he plays and so far it's been very successful for him and for the team........
Cool write up. Sometimes I think Vini Jr has been spoiled by his amazing talent to the point his footballing IQ has stagnated. I consistently see him make, what I perceive, as the wrong choices on the field. And the problem isn’t that he makes wrong choices… it’s that he CAN be the player who seldom places the wrong pass or makes a wrong choice. I really think he could be the absolute best in the world if he just tightened up a little bit.
I observed the exactly same thing against Betis. In just one match he ignored so many times the runs of his teammates. There were at least two occasions when our FB was on speed down the empty left flank and he preferred to pass the ball to Mbappe in the middle, even though he is with his back to the goal and is surrounded by players. I think it is a combination of not trusting Mendy and preferring to play with his new best friend...
He definitely doesn't "stagnate" per se, but I get what you mean. He relies on his own brilliance sometimes when there are better options. Look, the truth is he is our biggest threat pushing forward. He will always create open spaces for his teammates, but when he does it's these overlapping runs that are pretty much completely ignored. Just thinking if same would be the case if Davies joined for instance, or if he played with someone like prime Marcelo. Maybe it's just that he doesn't trust some teammates. The hell I know. I just find it odd and frustrating at times.
All the money wasted on stupid hair statements will hit a little harder in retirement. Too many of these guys don't consider what life is going to look like after the checks stop.
No other countries have presented an offer to host the world cup yet, a World Cup that happens in 2030. At first glance Vini needs to pray and hope he's healthy and well to play by then (he will be 30 years old by then) . We take far too much for granted unfortunately. Considering the state of the world right now, I don't even both with next year, never mind in 6 years.
Ahh Vini we support your fight man but you love and play in Spain. You are loved by many Spain. You earn your keep in Spain. At some point people there are going to get tired of you telling the world how horrible Spain is
It's always the same cycle: Vinicius says something negative about Spain. Spanish football players respond. (Unai Nunez this time) A politician requests a public apology. Pretty much nothing changes but everybody gets their 15 minutes in the media.
