Overath - Bozsik - Didi could perfectly play on a line in midfield, this would be a way more compact around the ball.

I will pray to the soccer gods. Matthews might be able to beat N.Santos. G.Muller scored.

It was very close, a 4-5-2 missing 1 vote.

That vote would give you the win, it would be 5-5-2 ---> You Win
That vote would give a Draw, it would be 4-6-2 ---> A Draw
That vote would give me the win, it would be 4-5-3 ---> A Draw, too.

According the table to calculate results

    My Adjustment:

The main focus of my team is the midfield. I thought David Beckham is out of position. He is too slow to be playing there, especially his team lacks a wide player on the right. He probably needs to run more as a right midfielder in this 4-3-3 formation. He needs to drop back and cover Giggs and/or Cabrini. I can see a gap in that area of the field.

His midfield is probably not defensive enough to contain my midfield trio of Didi, Overath and Bozsik. I also do not think Pirri is a holding midfielder. He should be given more space to run as a box-to-box midfielder. Van Hanegem might look liked a defensive midfielder, but he was more of a playmaker.

I have nothing against Needham, but the other option would be Maldini. Sir Matthews would have an easier job against Needham than Maldini. As the greatest English player before the 1960's, Matthews should be able to beat an English defender who retired before he was born. Giggs would have much harder time against Thuram, but his right side was weakened defensively by a slow Beckham (mentioned above). I do not expect Kocsis would drop back to cover Carbini or Didi.

Beckham-to-Kocsis might be a threat, but both Forster and Ramos are good in the air. Jorginho and Ademir are both solid picks, but there are definitely better Brazilians in this draft. The Mighty Magyars was an evolution of the Wunderteam. Bozsik should understand how to play against Sindelar. I found their battle very interesting.

    Round 3 - Results
    Reports:

    Match 5: (votes 1-8-3)
Msioux's team needs a win, waiting for a THB loss to tempt a qualification. Sindelar pulled the strings, but EG team stopped rival intentions with rough plays, getting Ramos a verbal warning. In the other side, Matthews caused a lot of problems to a restrained Needham, forcing Maldini to cover him, also checking for Müller movements.

    Match 6: (votes 3-5-4)
Even though, both teams were leading the group, they kept anything, offering an open game in which the offensive lines shined, provoking the defenses commited a lot of fouls, being one of the DM close to get a yellow.
