Bandwagon has officially crashed and burned.

If i could guess, only about 1 out 100 new fans will be staying.what say you?

Only a year till the Gold Cup, I guess that's something to look forward to, I'm just so disappointed right now.

to be honest, this has me more angry than the loss. looking at message boards (like 4chan), the hate of the sport and their proper country after the loss has me disgusted.

Probably right. We needed this win bad for a fan base. ABC on a Sautrday afternoon after all the hype following the Algeria game. All right down the crapper.

If even 1 out of 100 stays, it's still a net gain of +1.

As long as the only thing that gets media coverage in the US is the WC every fourth year soccer will never take off in the US. I'm a lifer. I played when I was a young man, love the game and will follow it until I die. Unfortunately I will be concentrating on the premier European leagues since there is nothing of that caliber here in the states...

The only way support of US soccer will improve is if there is a high quality, and highly visible, professional league in North America...and unfortunately I don't think that is in the cards.
