All of these fouls by Canada are cracking me up.

Latham just got a shot, but it was saved by Scurry in the 44th.

tcmahoney, the matchtracker is at the top of the page at the US Soccer home page.

Thanks. I prefer my caffiene carbonated, so since it's halftime, I'm going to go get my morning fix.

I wonder if Don Cherry is following this match? ;)

A little summary for those who MatchTracker is abusing:

Canada came out strong early, scoring in the 7th minute from a corner. With the lead, Canada sat back and defended U.S. pressure for most of the half. The U.S. had control of a majority of the half, but were unable to find the equalizer before the break.

I think he'd care about it since it's Canada we're talking about here. I got a good heartening chuckle out of listening to him rave about the Canadian women in ice hockey during the Olympics.

Ah, and the subs are listed...

Mullinix in for Scurry and Parlow in for Hucles on the US side.

No word about Canadian subs as of yet.

I’m going to make a prediction "It could go either way."

However I doubt that the US, under April, will have enough creative attacks to get more than 2 goals against any well organized defense.

From the reports we seem to have what has become the norm under April. Dominating possession but not many, or any, goals. The lack of creative play and the lack of change for the US has become as predictable as most of their attacks.

I bet that April really gets on players in practice for showing any creativity. It must take real skill to take the most creative team in the world and coach that creativity out of them in so short a time.

WAY TO GO APRIL. You have accomplished what few others could.

Canada is content to sit back in a bunker and protect their lead.

Thanks but: "Sometimes even a blind hog finds an acorn."

I just REALLY wish that soccer was not the poor stepchild of sports and we could get to see these games, even on a tape delay at 2:30 AM.

Somehow I knew they'd do that. Looks like we're getting shots off though.

Hamm takes a pass on the right side of the box and forces LeBlanc to make a diving save on her shot from 10 yards in the 51st.

Shot taken from a free kick on the left side of the box by Hamm, but it's punched away by LeBlanc in the 52nd.
