But I have to wonder how the Chivas USA name survives 100 years when they're pretty much just coasting right now.

I think a San Diego team should be called Sockers based on the fact that they won 11 championships (even though it's indoor soccer, but hey it's still success!) Besides most San Diego natives know the Sockers name because of their success in the 80's and 90's.

 

Plus the name alone will cause Eurosnobs everywhere to go completely insane, unless, of course, they rebrand to San Diego Sockers FC.
