Who do you think is better, and who will be the most effective for Brazil national team?
Do you think one of them can become as effective as Ronaldo 9?
They are both 22 Years Old, so how to they compare?

Pato is the more skillful of the two.
Damiao is better in the air but, Pato is also good with his head.
    Pato is faster
Damiao has more a killer instinct
Pato gets injured a couple of times every year and misses a lot of games.
Damiao still plays in the brazilian league
Pato plays in the Serie A and has more experience.

I would favor Pato with a weak midfield as he can create his own goal scoring chances.
However, in team with Neymar and Kaka who are very skillful and fast, I would favor Damiao because he seems to have more a killer instinct and would capitalize more on his chances. With Maicon and Marcelo crossing the ball, Damiao presents a slight advantage over Pato.
There are 3 more years left and Pato can have a quantum leap and become the next best thing to Ronaldo Fenomeno but, right now, Damiao deserves to start.

Pato had a HUGE mountain to climb up in order to reach his Idol status ... I just can not foresee that happening ... sadly!

Agree that Damiao has a better nose for goals than Pato who is more skillful indeed.

Pato said his idol is Ronaldo 9, but i highly doubt he will reach his level.

Neither guy will reach O Fenomeno's level. At 16, O Fenomeno was way way better than both guys. O Fenomeno is in a league with Pele, Maradona, Romario, Zidane and now Messi who is getting in that league.

Ronaldinho has to be in the same league?
And do you think Neymar and Lucas Moura will be in the same league in the future?

Ronaldinho is very close. The problem that I have with Ronaldinho is that he has never really done well for Brazil when he was the best player. He had a very pathetic 2006 world cup and then a very pathetic 2008 olympic. He does not well under pressure at the national level. Ronaldinho contributed something to 2002 but, he was not the best player at the time. It seems to me, he does better in a supporting role and not so much as a leader.
I said Messi is getting in that league. All of all the players, he has been the most successful at the club level. He has won everything except a world cup. Actually, he has yet to win Copa America. Anyway, he needs to do the same for Argentina.

Both Neymar and Lucas Moura are very promising. It is too early to tell whether they will reach that level. I believe Neymar has the potential to get to Messi's level but, I will have to see how he does in his couple of years in Europe.

Ronaldinho has done alot more for Brazil, then what Messi has done for Argentina.
Neymar is going really good for Brazil, He has been scoring alot of goals lately.

Who should sign Leandro Damiao, because looks like he wants to start playing in europe soon.

And a few clubs seem to be interested in Pato, so do you think he will leave Ac Milan anytime soon?

Damião made a great season, unfortunatly he got injured, if he recovers without any problem and continue to improve his skills he would be Brasil 9 in 2014.

Im not a Pato fan, he was overrated when transfer to Europe, he is not bad but i dont have condifence on him.

Pato will be like the "overhyped Torres, or Ibra" . They all have very good skillset, but rarely made best use of them into fruitful results!

Go name 5 players from Brazil that are better then Ronaldo??

And Ronaldo is a better Striker then Romario, so if your going to say hes better, then hes not.

Part from Pele theres no other player from Brazil thats better then Ronaldo.

Pelé, Garrincha, Zico, Didi, Romário, Rivelino, Falcão, Nilton Santos all of them were better than Ronaldo, specially Romario that played in the same position.

Pele is the only one better than Ronaldo, Garrincha was good at dribbling but back when Garrincha played in the 60s the defence was no way near as good as now. So it was alot easier to get passed defenders back then.
Ronaldo played in the late 90s and early 2000s and thats the modern era of defence.

And I think Ronaldo is just abit better then Romario, remember if Ronaldo didnt get injured he would of been on the exact same level with Pele.

    Top 3 Brazilians are

    1. Pele
    2. Ronaldo
    3. Zico

    1. Pele

ronaldo had a lot of achievements in his career and was the best brazilian player in the last 15 years, but technically, romário, zico and garrincha were better players, in my opinion. for me, the brazilian rank should be: 1-pelé, 2-garrincha,3-romário,4-zico,5-ronaldo. ronaldo always depended too much of his phisical conditions and didn´t finish with such class as romário. I think romario was the best striker in box ever(along with gerd muller) and good in the air(ronaldo wasn´t good in the air and that´s a crucial point for a striker). garrincha was a revolutionary player, best dribbler in the history. and zico was a complete player, he could scored and gave great assistances. it´s a shame that he never won the world cup.

but that´s just my opinion. romario, garrincha and zico are really beloved players here in brazil.for example, today(11/11/2011), a lot of brazilians soccer fans are celebrating the romário´s day(he used to play with number 11 in the national team). ronaldo is very admired here too, especially for the young people. but I know that the rest of the world believes that ronaldo is a bit better than zico and romario. I don´t know if the rest of the world believes that he is better than garrincha too.i watched ronaldo´s entire career, he was a phenomenon, but I think brazilians had a special admiration for romário( who gaves us the world cup after 24 years and playing with a average team), zico(who had his peak playing here in brazil) and garrincha(mané was a show man and had a tragical history). pelé, of course, is above all of them.

Garrincha was good and very tricky but he wouldnt have been as good if he played in the time Ronaldo did. Its just my opinion so I wouldnt put him in front of Ronaldo. Defenders have changed alot since the 50s when garrincha played

Zico was a complete player so he is in the top 3 brazil players of all time.

Romario vs Ronaldo - Ronaldo is better because he was more of a overall player and made more history, he was really fast and better at dribbling and skills. While Romario was only good around the box. Romario is a great player but Ronaldo is just a bit better in my opinion.

Pele, Ronaldo, Zico are the best of all time. Romario would be 4th or 5th with garrincha, then comes Ronaldinho.

    1. Pele
    2. Ronaldo
    3. Zico
    4. Garrincha
    5. Romario
