Agreed. Wouldn‘t mind seeing Cannon once in a while, but for me it‘s about Alex‘s teammate.
That‘s the kid i think may have something.

    Alvarez that is.

Taking home a souvenir. 1-1 late against Benfica, with Alvarado also on the field at the 67th, and Brooks watching from the stands.

We're at 90 + 11'. Will the game keep going until Benfica score?

Yes! I've read that script so many times.

On a PK, of course. I've also read that script.

2-1 full time. Mendez went the full distance, until the agonizing end.

Vezela looks like they have 4 AMs just in the midfield. Most of them played well, but they all are slow.

Mendez played 65', and left with the team trailing 0-1.

Kids got technique and vision out the wazoo.. Will be interesting to see how he develops. Can definitely see him in the mix after the WC.

He's definitely developed. Seems stronger, runs harder, still has the left footed wand but looks less dependent on it. Good stuff.

At the risk of a thread ban ... I'm on record as recommending GB call AM into this camp for just one reason - that left foot. Corner kicks, free kicks, penalty kicks, shots in general - all good practice for our GKs and defenders. Not that you can get that much accomplished in a few days, but we know we'll be facing (e.g.,) Bale and Foden. A little practice organizing (the wall against a lefty) couldn't hurt. And we're very short on natural left-footers, shorter still with ARob likely out (and Vines a 'maybe'). It's just a thought, and one that would require some imagination, making it next to impossible.

As I was saying, Mendez seems to be well-situated with his club situation.
