Mendez went the distance and was the highest rated player on the team in a report I saw, but in a 1-0 loss. Alejandro Alvarado, formerly of Galaxy II, joined him on the field for the last few minutes.

It seems as though he may have had something of an identity crisis.

Well, they are playing Sporting this Sunday which will be “televised” on GolTV, so let’s assess his play after watching against one of the BIG THREE in Portugal.

Went 90 against Sporting today.

Game on the phone in the background while I was working... but generally, Vizelia were completely overrun and ineffectual, so he and his teammates didn't do much. He did look clean on the ball the few times I saw that, even if I'd have liked him to be more aggressive/positive those rare times he did. But it looked like they were playing a man down from the start, so nobody was getting to do much.

Used to stay up until the wee hours in college to watch Lionel Bienvenue and that 2-hour Premier League recap show. Good times.

 

And Fox Soccer Report. Jeremy St Louis forever getting Friendzoned by Terri Leigh while Bobby McMahon mediates. All looking like they hate living in Winnipeg.

 

I have such great memories of crisp San Diego evenings watching that Recap show. That's really when I fell in love with the game.

looks like he essentially went the entire game (subbed out as a timewaster in et) in a win.

one of the sites I looked at for lineups had him as the 10 in a 5 man MF, but then I saw him later on the right in a 3 man MF.

anybody know more about where and how he played?

I don't know much about this kid- never really watched much of him- but I have a friend who's opinion I respect who loves the kid.
