All well and good. Ironically, Juventus -Agnelli didn't feel the same way about ADP when he got older and no longer needed him and he wanted to continue playing. I kn0ow it’s a business and all but it would be nice that to help a player who makes a sacrifice for his team…

I don't think that Conte ever forgave him for taking the captaincy away from him. He was little used that last season by Conte despite coming up when needed.

Del Piero is my favorite player ever, but his time was up. What would be the point of keeping him if he could have been a starter elsewhere, he wasn't going to play much at Juve (like in his final season)

Yeah but I don't believe it was Conte who made the final decison. That was all on Andrea Agnelli. I understand he was older and all and I'm sure they didn't need him but he made the scarfice for them when the team was huring but the team in turn didn't do the same for him whne he wanted to stay.

Anyway, last I heard he was living in Bel Air, Los Angeles. Not sure how he managed to get a green card if he isn't playing but I'm sure he is not longer hurtng despite getting a dicorce.....

ya'll see pics of him at Dybala at UCLA the other day?

Argentina was there practicing before their Chile friendly and Ale works at Juve Academy which is on the same field.

Honestly I don't think his time was up. The few times that he was given a chance to start or even get some minutes he usually delivered. This was especially the case when it came to big games.

A few instances that come to mind are:
his banana goal vs Roma in the Copa Italia
late goal vs Inter in a crucial serie a game
goal vs Milan in the copa semis
    assist to Quagliarella vs Napoli
late winner vs Lazio in what was probably our most crucial game of the season.

I wouldn't be surprised if Falc's theory of Conte having an agenda against him was correct.

His time was up, he wasn't going to play if he stayed on another year. It would have been a waste of his time and a waste of Juventus' resources

It is true he would not play because

    a. He did not fit in Conte's system
    b. Conte had a grudge against him

That said, he still had some magic left in him which if managed properly, would have been beneficial. But Conte was not the right manager to make that happen.

Well that's what I meant by his time was up, I didn't mean he had no magic left, I meant his time with Juventus was up. I think that was made clear by how little he played in that last year he was here

vucinic was trash tho... all he will be remembered for is two copa goals.

We know conte holds grudges, that is why he was pushed out. Which is why Inter is going to be scary this year, this is probaly the most motivated he has been in his entire life...

and remember what Conte was able to do with a very weak Italy national team in 2016... they held their own with a strong german side and were unlucky to go out on penalties.

That team featured Pelle, Eder, Zaza, Giacc, Parolo, florenzi, De Sciglio, and Stuaro all playing signifigant minutes... and they almost got to the semi finals.

Lets not forget the "big names" he didnt call to duty because he did not rate their work ethic.

Conte seems to favor hard working dynamic players, not big stars... he rather have a player who can do multiple things, not a guy who can just do one thing or who has highlight reels.

Conte held a grudge of some sort and pushed out Icardi too and he doesn’t even know him. Unless he is being loyal to Maxi Lopez , then that’s another story.

Thank you. One of my sons moved to LA a few months ago so next time I am Cali, I now have to hit both San Jose and LA so will have to run I-5 both ways, so I will try to stop in there.
