It's been awhile since I've seen the Galaxy. One thing that I noticed in today's game was how involved Albright was. Now I know he was by no means stellar, but over the last two seasons I was wondering if he would even find any steady playing time in MLS. It looks like he is regaining some confidence, and even though Glinton is Flavor of the Month it would be nice to see Albright establish himself in this league.

I agree. Albright looked like he knew what he was doing for a change. I really was hoping he'd score the first goal and get some confidence. Nice to see him play well though, even without having scored.

He didn't play too badly tonight, I agree, though those two shots near the top of the box he took were just crap. One was like 8 feet off target.

He had some nice flicks, and one nice header that set someone up for a shot.

Albright's always been a hard worker, he seems to have better control of posession and showed some creativeness. Also, he had that nice assist to Ruiz two weeks back against KC.

    I was impressed with Albright.

His finishing is still crap though.

Agreed. This season I haven't been so hard on him because he seems to be giving a lot of effort and playing scrappy, but his finishing is crappy. Every time I think Albright will pull through, he falls apart. At yesterday's game, the last play where he could've just flicked it to Cobi for goal was frustrating & gut-wrenching when he botched it. Yet I still have this delusion that he's going to have a breakout game sometime this season. Yep, time for my medication.

Chris busts his @$$ every day. I hafta give him credit there. However, he does seem to have his moments where coordination seems a problem. Either way, he works very well with Fish and he's Fishes choice as partner so I'd think the position is his.

Well, I for one truly believe that Albright should be playing EZ's position , with EZ moving to the bench.

I personally feel that this would be an upgrade in virtually every aspect of the game.

While I thought Albright had a better game than usual, he is still a role player whose work rate and skill level suggest that he should be used as a wide midfield player. This LA Galaxy team needs another quality striker. Ruiz is stuck with second rate partners who can't really take the pressure off of him. I'd take a lot of team's third strikers right now (Buddle, Harris, Rhine to name a few) over our second choice. Hell, I'd even like to see Chacon at this point!

I've never questioned his effort or intensity, just his finishing and decision-making. Things seem to be coming together for him of late....if for no other reason to quiet the Chris-Bashers! If he starts producing, who becomes the New Whipping Boy.

Side Note: In one of the wire service photos of HDC from last weekend, you could clearly see a fan wearing a Galaxy jersey with 'Albright' on the back. How classic is that? What are the odds he also owns a "Madsen" Laker jersey?!?!?

I could understand someone saying this prior to the game on the 7th but after?

Did you watch the game? EZ was a MOTM contender setting up plays and helping on defense for the full 90.

I was there (Section 134)... and although I thought his play has improved over some of the invisible performances this season.... I certainly would not go as far as saying he was Man of the Match material.

I personally thought Colorado had an awful lot of space on their left flank that Spencer, Chung and Henderson took advantage of.

I also thought it was obvious, that EZ was holding the ball far to long. It appeared to me that every time he got the ball... he would either attempt to cut back to the inside or take a run down the flank. There was no variation in his play, no one touch passes... etc. However, I will also take into account that I have soured on EZ quite a bit and maybe I saw the game through EZ colored glasses. I am sure we will see Saturday against KC.

I didn't see how much he was doing until I watched the game at home from a recording. It looked to me like EZ had found his old form. Consistency will be an issue for the whole team since there will never be another first game at the HDC to provide the inspiration.

We will have to see something different in the midfield with Simon gone and Vagenas still injured.

my professional opinion: albright sucks, has always sucked, and will continue to suck. what a terrible waste of an allocation for dc united. just another major blunder in the now traditional drafting incompetence of dc united.

No matter how much you try to sugar-coat Albright to me, he'll always suck in mine eyes.
