LAZO ALAVANJA WHO PLAYED FOR D C UNITED LAST YEAR AND DALLAS AND MIAMI IN THE PAST WAS SEEN PLAYING FOR THE ASSIRIAN WINGED BULL FOR LAST 3 WEEKS, ALONG WITH JAMAR BEASLEY AND ALEKSEY KOROL AND THREE OTHER FIRE PLAYERS FROM THE FIRE RESERVE TEAM. THE REPORT IS THAT LAZO IS BEING TUNED UP FOR THE CHICAGO FIRE. HE IS A GREAT PLAYER TO WATCH WITH UNBELIVABLE TALENT. NATIONAL SOCCER LEAGUE OF CHICAGO IS VERY LUCKY TO HAVE PLAYERS OF THAT RANKING PLAYING FOR THE LEAGUE. WINGED BULL WHO IS IN THE MAJOR DIVISION IN THE LEAGUE ARE IN FIRST PLACE WITH 6-O RECORD WHO PLAYES IN THE ODEUM IN VILLA PARK EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT.
Okay, I'm with you up until GTGBRB... Uh, and Dany if you want to (effectively) publicize the NSL, TRY A FRIGGIN PRESS RELEASE!
Oh....someone on here actually reported some interesting and soccer related news. Let's all jump on him about the caps key and ignore what he has to say. You guys are just soooo cool.
This statement is simply laughable.. Lazo Alavanja was one of the, if not the worst field player in MLS last season.. He brings absolutely no talent or skill to the field...
Lazo Alavanja ... midfielder ... 1,000 minutes played ... 0 points. ... ... Me ... Doesn't play ... 0 points. Thus, your highly skilled player, broken down scientifically.
i'm not about to say this guy is any good (no real idea on if he is nor not... he probably isn't)... but to say you can determine how good one is from minutes played and points scored is laughable... armas could not score or have an assist all year and still be deserving of mls best xi (although the mls secondary assist kinda means you should have some points, but still) but could we please go back to bringing up jamar... i miss those people
He did. Puetolana is still stuck on 2 points after 17 matches, 11 behind the next to last team in the table. Four goals scored, 37 given up. Maybe Winged Bull is pretty good compared to Puetolana after all.
...quite possibly the most brilliant analysis of any player i've ever seen in my life. and i'm totally serious.
You can spin this any way you wish but it doesn't deter me from saying that in my 7 years of watching MLS soccer, he was simply the worst field player to see any significant amount of time I have ever seen play in MLS... I don't need the stats to tell me how awful he was, I just needed my own two eyes.. He was that bad... He brings absolutely nothing to the table and it is a mystery to me why he is still with United, much less in MLS....
How can you pick on one player when the whole team DC United did not do good all year , and did not make the playoffs, Alavanja coming Indiana U., Making Big ten player of the year three years in row.
for the normal player it's probably best not to evaluate them solely (or mostly) on their stats... now someone who is suppose the a goal scorer is a bit different... and i didn't disagree with the assessment, just the notion that the minutes and points method was valid
i know the big ten has some decent soccer schools but how many big ten schools have teams? and since when is college a good way to develop players?
I picked him out because Alavanja more often than any other player on United sucked ass.. He constantly gave up posession of the ball, made terrible passes to teamates in difficult positions and also was woeful in defense, the one real role he had with this team.. It's not hard to pick out bad players on bad teams.. Alavanja, despite his glowing COLLEGE resume, is a terrible MLS player.....
