Yup.. it's hitting the Primera extremely hard. If you're a teenager who is just looking for a place to play, fine. But as soon as you can make a real paycheck anywhere else - it's time to get out ASAP. The fixed amount of your contract payments become close to worthless in a very short amount of time.

The quality of the Primera (top to bottom) is not good right now. A lot of young Argentine players are going elsewhere in South America.

Great opportunity for Liga MX and MLS teams to get in on this as well.

    Out in 65th:

Oops, that is Joel coming in.

He assisted on the goal a few minutes later:

Goal! Toluca 1, FC Juárez 1. Diego Chávez (FC Juárez) right footed shot from outside the box to the bottom left corner. Assisted by Alan Soñora with a through ball.

    Did they retain Joel?

I bet Alan keeps migrating North instead of heading East. I would imagine that a lack of meaningful Liga MX minutes combined with a poor showing at The Gold Cup has cooled European interest a bit.

Which MLS teams need an okay CM with a decently high ceiling? Maybe his dad still knows people in DCU's front-office?

Another start and 89 minute performance for Alan today. Unfortunately, they let up an equalizer deep into stoppage time. Joel did not play.

Watching a bit of this match, and Ruud van Nistelrooy is at the match. Vacation in Buenos Aires? Scouting the Sonora brothers? Insert your favored conspiracy below.

Comical error from Instituto led to Sonora's goal. Start at 0:57

Not that it mattered much as Instituto rallied for a 3-1 win.

Alan was an injury sub in the 31st minute yesterday in a 1-0 win that leaves Huracan even on points at the top of the table with River Plate.
