Think FNC is biased or skewed? http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/A/AL_JAZEERAS_SPREAD?SITE=NJASB&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT
I'd love to have another non-US source of news available here. It'll be interesting to see whether cable companies will carry it.
the number of times you've actually seen al-jazeera, please? i'm not trying to be an apologist for them, i just want to determine from what base of knowledge you plan to lecture us
well for a time there i think i saw them at the least 2-3 times a week i've also seen outfoxed and control room could you tell me how many times you've seen it, not clips, documentaries etc, but actual live broadcasts ? thank you
I believe "shut your suck" is appropriate for you here; based on your own vernacular... For the others, however: FOX News Network, LLC is an American media division of Fox, registered as an independant and owned by Murdoch. Mr. Murdoch's media history is on-line and it began in 1985, when he bought seven U.S. television stations from Metromedia for US $2 b to form Fox Television, which is currently headed by CEO Roger Ailes. ~whereas~ Al Jazeera is an Arabic television channel based in Qatar, partly dependent on the emir of Qatar for funding.* (*Al Jazeera was started with a $150 million grant from the emir of Qatar; it aimed to become self-sufficient through advertising by 2001, but when this failed to occur the emir agreed to continue subsidizing it on a year-by-year basis [$30 million in 2004]).
Well having been in the military yourself there ITN, I thought you'd know what shut your suck meant without my having to explain it.........maybe you were out sick that day ? And you could not have missed my point more had you tried
Fvck, you are stupid Fox is biased Al Jizz is biased Saying one is better or worse than the other is like saying that you ITN are a brilliant man - it just ain't true
So ... if I accept that your statement is true, what did you think of CBS's recent Dan Rather fiasco that led to his resignation... did that too involve bias, IN YOUR OPINION?
We aren't talking about CBS This thread was about Al Jizz and then Fox was brought into it That is the discussion at hand
Right...but you forgot this little matter of proof... You made the accusation of Fox being biased... I asked for clarification... I have proof that CBS is biased, since its head anchorman resigned as a direct result of such bias... Do you have proof that Fox is biased? Any resignations? Any substantial cases of bias in news broadcasting beyond your own opinion? In other words, if you're going to make the accusation, at least try to offer some proof about it!
Wait, wait... did he get caught lying about that, too? Man, the things you miss when you go out of town for a couple of weeks. EDIT to remark that, at 12:58, CaughtIntheLies negative repped me, thereby confirming my suspicion.
Actually, that the memo contributed to Rather's resignation and resulted in the dismissal of several members of the news staff indicates that bias (or shoddy reporting) is frowned upon at CBS. How many high profile anchors have been fired or pressured to resign at Fox News?
I have no idea either. But you're guessing that no member of the Fox News staff has ever reported anything that would violate its editorial policies, yes?
The interesting thing is that you asked the same question on this thread and when provided with countless examples, both large and small, of Fox's bias, you did your usual - didn't bother answering all those inconvenient facts..........(guess, like Dick Cheney, you had other priorities, huh?)
Actually skipshady... with all the "accusations" about Fox News conservative bias, there have been no real charges and no resignations of any kind on this matter... however, there have been resignations at the New York Times, CBS, NBC, CNN, and PBS precisely on the bias issue... so it's been a bit one-sided! And I note that georgeplmr disappeared when asked to post evidence of Fox News bias that he alleged!
That's because at NYT, CBS, etc. they make an attempt to not be biased, and if someone is found to let an untold amount of bias creep into their work, they're removed.. Unlike Fox, where it's "Fox News, We Decide."
