Both Sport1 and EL will be under the Fox Sports umbrella. We Dutchies have no other choice to get both considering Sport1 doesn't have all foreign leagues anymore, they've spread it out on both. Smart move lol. The JC Shield/SuperCup however will be on regular cable channel SBS6 on Dutch tv. Anyone familiar with Dreamboxes?
Oranje U19 currently 1 - 0 up against Spain. We need one more goal to knock them out. VD Hart, Tete and Gravenberch in the starting line-up. Our former academy player Ayoub with the assist for the goal (header saved by the goalie, Leemans scored from the rebound).
Neither Fox Soccer or Fox Soccer Plus are carrying the game tomorrow. We'll have to see what they do about regular season games. They lost the EPL rights to NBC and don't have rights to either Italy or Spain either. I sure hope they carry Dutch games rather than the crummy French league. Two channels to fill up football programming and I don't know what they will do (I also don't think they have the rights to Bundesliga either).
Hello everone, Previous user, current lurker. Just wanted to give you all a heads up. In the US, the Eresdivisie will now be split between ESPN and GolTV. GOLTV will begin showing games on the 2nd; ESPN3 will begin on August 9th. No idea how they will split the games, and which station will show Ajax matches, although the Ajax-Roda opener will be on GolTV. Neither will show tomorrow's game. BS, IMO. (source: http://worldsoccertalk.com/2013/07/...-its-lineup-will-begin-broadcasting-on-aug-2/)
I hope GolTV Canada picks that up as well then. It might not be as good quality as an internet stream (which is extremely pathetic), but at least I'll be able to record the games then.
According to the ESPN3 schedule, there will be Eredivisie games Aug 11- 8:00AM Eastern, Aug 18- 9:00 AM, Aug 25- 9:00 AM. None of the times match any games currently scheduled for those days. The schedule also refers to the league as Fútbol Holandés which may mean they will be broadcast in Spanish??
Selection for today's game: Kenneth Vermeer Ricardo van Rhijn Toby Alderweireld Niklas Moisander Christian Poulsen Viktor Fischer Christian Eriksen Kolbeinn Sigthórsson Siem de Jong Bojan Krkic Joël Veltman Nicolai Boilesen Lucas Andersen Daley Blind Lasse Schöne Jasper Cillessen Danny Hoesen Thulani Serero It will be interesting to see if de Boer uses his ideal XI, or if he experiments at all, and if he uses his first XI, to see if how he deals with the Boilesen/Blind thing. Does one of them start over the other, or does he find a way to get both in the lineup by putting one in midfield or CB? Hopefully we get a lineup like: Vermeervan Rhijn - Alderweireld - Moisander - BoilesenBlindEriksen - FischerBojan - Sigthorsson - Andersen
Looks like the first XI lineup. I hope we get to see Serero and Andersen off the bench Opstelling Ajax: Vermeer; Van Rhijn, Alderweireld, Moisander, Blind; Eriksen, De Jong, Schöne; Bojan, Sigthórsson, Fischer. Wissels: Cillessen, Poulsen, Veltman, Boilesen, Andersen, Hoesen, Serero
Ajax reserves played a friendly against Willem ll this morning. We won 3 - 1, goals scored by VD Hoorn, Sana and Serero.
You have the wrong player listed here. ESPNFC says that they are interested in Viktor Fischer for this price. Of course this is utter rubbish as he's worth much more than that. 17:20 BST: Scottish champions Celtic are eyeing Ajax youngster Viktor Fischer. The Danish international winger could be available for around £3m and Celtic are hoping to pull of a major coup in signing the highly-rated teenager.
VI says it's a done deal pending medical. http://www.vi.nl/nieuws/244412/Ajacied-Boerrigter-verhuist-naar-Schotse-topclub-Celtic.htm
Derk probably wasn't injured and had to sit down the SuperCup because Overmars and co were already in talks about the price. Do we give Sana another chance (he's done pretty well in preseason, scoring goals left and right) or will we bring someone else in? Assaidi looks like he's off to Anderlecht on loan, but he might reconsider knowing that Anderlecht didn't have the best of starts after losing their 1st home match in the league (and he still apparently loves Ajax considering he turned down both Feyenoord and PSV).
Derk wasn't more skilled than Sana or Andersen but he was a big strong player and could run all day. I'm less concerned about those guys making an impact off the bench as I am about seeing them forced into starting roles if Fischer or Bojan are injured. Worst case scenario Son of Sigthor has played some right wing as well.
