To any flapdrol who likes to make a childish game out of it. PHUCK ADIDAS. PHUCK AJAX' MARKETING DEPARTMENT. Who needs them? From what I've heard it's supposed to be quite nice. How these people know... I haven't got a clue. Too bad it's Adidas.
Adidas was feyenoord's jersey sponsor for many years. Suddenly they became Ajax' jersey sponsor in 2000. There was a lot of protest and what was Adidas' reaction? Put up posters ALL OVER Amsterdam with all kinds of cliche stuff about Ajax. Not very convincing to me. For years Umbro was a very popular brand among Ajax supporters, just like Adidas was popular among feyenoord. I'm not going to walk around in the enemy's stuff. Then there's the fact that Adidas is plain ugly. They and feyenoord were made for each other. Now we have Adidas while feyenoord has the classy ' Kappa'. Has the world gone mad? Besides that, Adidas would also change the shirt by adding three stripes. Something that nobody liked. So they refrained from using the three stripes. But since two years they're on there. In the end it's just simple. Adidas = feyenoord. Not Ajax.
im not concerned with all that feyemoord mess - besides i like adidas jerseys the best so i was glad with the switch - as for the new one, im hoping for a return to the black
Can anyone figure out what is going on in the mini-site so we can get some details on the release, and look of the shirt? http://shirt.ajax.nl/index.php
Got it, this was translated from the ajax online store: "Friday 16 May a. s. presents Ajax officially the new Ajax-uitshirt.
