I know it’s Miami and not easy, but you put 10 guys behind the ball just to prevent the defense from being exposed. And it still gets exposed. Gonna be another long season I’m afraid.
Just awful from Bartlett on the first goal. Hopkins has been terrible with the ball today. Absolutely nothing from Peglow and Pirano at least Peglow presses some times. Kurokawa, Baribo and Peltola were decent.
I mean, being a petulant prick and scoring a goal aren’t mutually exclusive. Ronaldo has made a career of it.
This has ALWAYS been the case. The club hasn’t given a flying F for its season ticket holders and their loyal, real fans in a very long time. Remember all of the Rooney fans? No? Neither do I. I’d love to know what the conversion rate was for new “Rooney era” fans even 2 years later, let alone 5 ys later. It couldn’t have been great. Everything DCU does is quick buck, marketing flash motivated. There was never a plan to convert those customers into fans. This game, rather than map the seats in our new stadium to M&T so STHs didn’t have to login at the stroke of whatever time to get something close to “their seat” for this game, but they did what was easiest for them. The idea of serving their best customers was dead looooong before I gave up my seats 2 ys ago.
Johnson could’ve done better on the first goal, too. It wasn’t an easy save by any stretch, but I bet he wants that one back.
Bartlett should be waived. He is absolutely terrible. Second worst player has been Hopkins. Wow, he has been awful. Where is the big DP signing? Oh, let me guess, he’s putrid, as well.
I wasnt gonna go but my son persuaded me. Regret it. Yes I knew it would be 90% "Miami" fans but its even worse. Girls blocking aisles while reviewing their instagram photos, constant going in and out of seats like a baseball game. Oh, and our team sucks ass. Philly must be really bad.
Only DC could sign a designated player worse than Pirani, Peglow and Hopkins. Hoping he comes on at the half for Pirani, what do we have to lose...
DC United is one goal back, pressing for the equalized in a 'home' game and I hear the crowd chanting 'Messi, Messi'. Ugh.
