That was a vintage 2025 performance. You'd think Caden Clark and Aaron Herrera would probably make this team better. They couldn't possibly make it worse. Gabriel Pirani isn't even capable of delivering a decent cheap shot.
I am personally imploring the MLS Disciplinary Committee to suspend Gabriel Pirani for at least a game or two.
Week 3 prediction time. With Miami bringing their starters, I don't see it being a good day for DC. 1-3, with only a late consolation goal by Baribo. (So far my predictions are 0-2, with one each being a better or worse result.)
60,000+ Messi fans in a different city and state. Nothing like selling out your team for a payday and real estate deal.
Cant believe it, but the Junkies actually, actually talked about DCU! They spent like 180 seconds minutes chatting with Brandon Servania (roll tide). That's more minutes than they have talked about DCU in the previous three years. It's the last segment of the day - at 9:46. 106.7 The Fan - D.C. Sports Talk All Day - LISTEN LIVE | Audacy
I do appreciate how the team is at least trying to look out for season ticket holders going to the game (free parking/busses, free food trucks/beer in the season ticket parking lot for STMs, etc).
Yeah, I wish I were going to Navy Yard tomorrow and not Baltimore, but the effort is good to see. My friend who's going with me saw Wale is performing at halftime and said "So I guess Wale is still around? Haven't heard that name in a while."
Right now we are at 1.5 PPG. Is it ever going to get better this season? Maybe the season should end now.
The new guy Sitnick is actually listening and still seems to be sincere. I am sure others also probably made these suggestions, but at the Sogut event when he said they were going to do buses I asked him to provide parking, a tailgate area, and to make an STM area in the stadium, and they came up pretty good in response. We will see how the rest of the year goes, just please dont do another "State of the United."
Reddit is *very* salty the game is in Baltimore and not DC tomorrow. The fact that they've sold 62k tickets already and may sell out the place is probably why this game got moved, unfortunately.
Let’s be real about the issue. It’s Levien. If the fanbase had a positive view of the owner, playing one game in a huge stadium in Baltimore is understandable and nobody argues it. Levien has exhausted his credibility with the fanbase, and he’s in the crosshairs for this choice as a result. Sadly, in his head this is the only path to DCU having an MLS Next Pro team, so if nothing else let’s hope this gets that over the line and we can finally properly develop emerging talent.
I mean it makes sense. It's Messi. It's a big event. I think it would be be way worse for all those people to have to miss out and for tickets to be insane. I think this is just an opportunity for everyone who likes to complain about the team to complain about the team.
Hey, didn’t United have some clause in the contract with the District that all home games had to be played at Audi Field? Am I hallucinating that? If not, how did they get out of it in this case?
I still remember him doing a pregame concert outside of RFK before he completely took off... the yesteryears when that Gaga lady was part of a hook to start her career.
I think this is largely true, but it is absolutely infuriating as a fan to watch the team put more effort into attracting 60k Messi fans who will never have the slightest interest in DC United then they have at any point on the past 8 years at Audi Field.
Well, that was awful. Bad enough when you get beat by a better team, but just giving it away there is awful
