He was twenty yards ahead of everyone and there was no one else to play a forward or lateral pass to. Nobody was even making a run.

Hard to figure out who was the Least Valuable Player.

On the one hand you have the center ref, who was letting them play through fouls all game long and then calls a horseshit penalty on just about the most flagrant dive you'll ever see in soccer. That was pretty much game over.

On the other, you have the TV crew who managed to miss several clear cut goalscoring opportunities and an actual goal while they were showing replays and/or the wrong camera angle. After the game they were trying to show Berhalter's reaction and they followed around some some low-level Chicago trainer, because he is also bald.

Professional Cornhole League gets better production and is a more prestigious assignment than MLS...been that way since, well, forever. Example, before MLS Cup '97 at RFK I walked into the production truck parked below gate A. The staff were really nice, I was a little knowledgeable from public access shows I used to work in college (Waynes World!), but they literally didnt know who was playing. The chirons had NY playing LA.; I got blank looks for 2 minutes when I asked "who has home field advantage?" It hasnt really gotten any better.

Matti Peltola is 2nd in MLS for tackles won and fifth in the league for interceptions.

Not me.. He checked out on this team last season and simply gave up. Never got it (the burning desire to play professional soccer for money) back.

    Good riddance

I won't say good riddance, but I'm sorry it didn't work out better since he was a good player.

St Louis has never played at Audi Field. St Louis has a bad away form while DC United has a bad home form. The irresistible force meets the unmovable object.

What happens when a stoppable force meets a moveable object?

Hopefully this won’t be Durkin’s revenge. 2-1 to the good guys.

I sprung for a ticket for the first time in a long time to celebrate the end of another academic year.

I’d just like to say “snot yellow” is color that can be chosen for kits. It is quite a choice.

They’ve been pretty organized. Some real lapses there in the defensive end.

If the strikers had a better first touch or were a half step faster, we’d be up a goal, maybe two.

I’m in the corner of that side. 121. There’s some gaps up here but it’s not bad.

I guess some folks can’t handle pride night.
