I'm thinking on one side it says B MORE UNITED with 2 pictures of Messi's face. The other side should commemorate record breaking hot dog sales.

This is the same team that said they were 48 hours away from announcing an MLS Next Pro team 6 months ago, so it’s not as if they aren’t known to take liberties with numbers.

Gosh, can we even be confident anymore that the team actually sold all 6,182 hot dogs during the Red Bull loss last year?

I was looking at SeatGeek before the game and watching as additional rows and sections were opening up minutes before the game. I had a good laugh when they said the team sold out. I agreed (and took a photo of the video board). There were plenty of empty, unsold seats though.

 

I think he's talking about one of the STM talks from last year when Levien made that claim.

 

I'm not sure what's funnier - DC claiming that game was sold out, or the people still entering the stadium when I went to take a bathroom break in the 60th minute.

I have no issues with the 62,000 number they had mentioned on social media the day before the game, though. That was legit.

 

You may not be old timey enough. Back in the days when the Metros/Red Bulls were giving updates on their stadium, something was always going to happen in 60-90 days.

 

Oh, I know, but at least in this case, Levien really did say they were about to announce the Next Pro team, and the 60-90 day joke went over my head.

Markovic didn’t travel what’s up w that. He was a beast last week and I was hoping he earned a start. Would be a huge upgrade over Servania.
