Today the news reports that Ahn will stay in Japan for another six months and probably move to Europe in July. The offers he was getting were not good enough, and both he and his management company think he can get a better deal if he waits.

This is good news for S-Pulse, who will probably lose Toda to Sunderland if the latest news reports can be believed. Ahn's strike partner will be Tuto, who played for Urawa Reds last season but was replaced by Edmundo.

I will have a longer article about all of therecent trading activity at my web site later this weekend.

Seems like they wanted to keep him for the Champions League.

    That would certainly make sense.

For some reason, though, I'm strangely ambivalent about this news. Must be the insomnia....

Shimizu contracted with Tuto and Kitajima.
Tuto is the man from Brazil and has scored the 51 goals in four years in J.League.
Kitajima is the player of the 2nd place of the score ranking of the year before last.Ahn has scored only three goal in J.League last season. Therefore, the coach of Shimizu has said that there was no team which buys him although he did not plan to have kept back Ahn.

This is probably better for Ahn, rather than hastily signing for another European team, just for the sake of playing in Europe.
