    Good stuff! Thanks, Jay.

    Goos mentioned that "you forget how hard you had to work to get there (winning the Cup.)" It seems this season that the Quakes are prone to getting outworked sometimes. I wonder how high Agoos' point is in the team's consciousness right now? If they all come in and play with a Donovan/Mullan-like work rate, I believe our guys can beat anybody. It's those games like Goos mentions--where they expect good things to happen because they are the defending champs--that will rip that title away from them this year.

    Nice article, once I reread the first sentence a few times and figured out what it said:

    "No MLS player has every won back-to-back titles in his career twice, but then there is San Jose Earthquakes captain Jeff Agoos who is attempting to the feat after doing the double with DC United in 1996-1997. "

    Does anyone edit these things?
